This place was excellent. I can’t believe we didn’t find it earlier. The food is familiar but unique. Some of the food is from other cultures, but has a Mexican twist. The prices are great and staff were attentive and very pleasant. This will be on our list of regular places to go.

We were on a quest for authentic mexican food and we found our new spot! This place was phenomenal! Our table had the wet burrito, chori pollo, and chicken/steak fajitas and everything tasted so fresh and so delicious! I meant to get a picture of the meals but we were already too invested in scarfing it down. The churros and fried ice cream were soooo good. The owner, also our server was so friendly and find and informed us that he just took over the business 5 months ago. He truly has a passion for Mexican cuisine and it’s apparent with every bite! Happy hour is from 2-6p! We will be coming back on a regular basis :)It was a little tough to find as they are working on getting more signed up but it’s in the plaza right beside the race track gas station.

We very much enjoyed our meal and service at Casa 28. We had the special of the day that were ribs with a guajillo sauce that was phenomenal! We also had the aguachile verde shrimp that had just the right kick. I was hoping for fresh made tostones with the aguachile but it was a thiner, crisper chip type thing. On top of it all, the service was top notch and quick. We are looking forward to this becoming a regular, local spot for us!
Saw on Saint Petersburg top Mexican Restaurants list, this restaurant named. We tried it today for lunch. Great service!! Food was tasty. Everyone in my family was pleased.Look forward to trying something else on the menu next time.Thank you ? ?

I ordered food via Uber Eats. My quesadilla had no side of sour cream, salsa, lettuce, tomato, or avocado. The Yucca fries I ordered had no mayo ketchup on the side. Very disappointing. Will not order again, quality and service poor.

This is a nice restaurant with a very helpful and nice staff, the food was very good at a reasonable price. First time I go there but am pretty sure it won't be my last, next time am in the St.Pete area I will return ?
This place is amazing. Super nice staff but more importantly, the food is delicious. I have had 4 different sandwiches there now and all of the them were equally as good. Reasonably priced and generous sizes and it's a LOCAL.
