Wanted to try out the St Pete location. We had the cuban sandwich, it never disappoints. Great food, friendly staff and you have seating both inside or outside. Try them out if you're in the area. The offer cuban coffee, other sandwiches, and delicious cuban pastries.

Absolute love of the bread at Columbia restaurant drew me to this location. This bakery (several locations) supplies bread to the Columbia restaurant locations. The place is charming and the smell when you walk through the door is wonderful. I couldn't resist buying a loaf of the Cuban bread and then they had a long list of delicious sandwiches that they make. We went with the 1915 and it was wonderful. You could taste the quality ingredients with every bite! The guava and cheese pastries were divine! We bought one and got one free and thank goodness for that because we would have been fighting over it. They are so delicious!

Love having La Segunda here in St. Pete. Used to go to the ybor city bakery with my Dad when I was small to get Cuban bread for the King Bee grocery and was allowed to see how they made the bread. It is an amazing place and if you want a real Cuban, coffee Con Leche (perfect) or even a Cuban muffeletta you must try. All on the menu is wonderful! Great associates, wonderful bakery items and happiness!! Don't forget your Cuban bread to take home.

I stopped by La Segunda for the first time last Sunday around 12pm, it wasn’t overly crowded when I went but picked up quickly afterwards. Their food is good, and prices fairly reasonable. What diminished the experience was the chaos. The lady who took our orders & payments didn’t send our entire order to the kitchen, she added a wrong item to our order so we ended up over paying. It just felt like we had to keep asking and checking in on our food to make sure it was correct. My mother ordered the avo toast and they gave her the sandwich with egg which she couldn’t eat, luckily instead of wasting food they let us keep it and brought her the correct order. I had to wait for my croquettes which werent sent to the kitchen, when they came two of them were empty (see photo). Overall it was an odd experience. Honestly, I’d go back just for the guava turnovers because they’re so good and already premade in the case so there’s no room for confusion.

I regretfully spent more than a hundred dollars at this place. My order was brought out to my table cold and not complete. I went up to see what was taking so long for an avocado order, ranch sauce and a sandwich and was met by the totally unprofessional manager who didn’t not even try to apologize and would not give me her name either . I think her name is solice ( this is how you pronounce it) she was rude and unprofessional.i don’t know who put this lady in charge. If you want real Cuban food, tasty , good service and a nice atmosphere don’t go here.

Came in for the Cubano. Walked out with a cubano and a muffuletta. Both FANTASTIC. The pork was perfectly marinated on the Cuban and the olive spread on the muffuletta keeps you coming back for more. Staff was friendly and humorous. Service was quick even during a crazy lunch rush that was lined through the door. All in all fantastic experience. Should be a rotational stop or any local and a destination to anyone visiting!

Everything was fine except the cuban sandwich. There was hardly any meat on it and a very small 9" for almost $13.00. I've lived here my entire life and they are known for their cuban bread which was started in Tampa. The best cuban sandwich is the Floridan in Treasure Island. I've tried every place in town and this was the worst I've had. Sorry, but it seems I'm not the only one saying this in the reviews.

What a gem of a find! Staff were exceptional and a pleasure to deal with. The food was good and the bread for my Cuban was spot on. A nice selection of desserts and pastries. I got everything Guava they had to take home, all light, crisp and flaky. The strawberry shortcake had the softest delicious cake, just enough strawberries and whipped cream so none over-powered the other. Will definitely go back when in St. Pete.
