Spending an evening at Mangosteen makes any occasion special. However, today our waitress Kung was our server and she made it even more special! She is attentive and kind with the most incredible menu suggestions. Thank you for making our evening so amazing!

Excellent meal tonight at Mangosteen, but what drove me to post a review is the service we received from Nancy, our server. She greeted us at our table with a warm smile on a cold night and made us feel as though she was welcoming us into her own home. She attended to us regularly (but not too often to be annoying,) and always had a smile and a graciousness about her. What an unexpected pleasure. This is the standard of service we need in St Petersburg. Thank you, Nancy!

I’ve been here a few times and always enjoy their sushi! Today we tried the Shanghai Fried Rice, Pad Lao, and Mangosteen Noodles — everything was delicious. 10/10 recommend!.

The sushi was Ok. I was disappointed in the limited options for rolls with raw fish (spicy tuna/mangosteen roll). Of those two, the spicy tuna was solidly good. The mangosteen roll, which had the most fish, had too much Eel sauce on it and it overpowered the roll. If you’re someone who likes cooked sushi, you would probably really enjoy this place.
The drunken noodles (w/ chicken) was also solidly good. It’s very savory, so you may be drinking a lot of water during your meal. Lastly, we got the bang bang shrimp and ended up removing all the fried batter. It was too much, and having to dip the shrimp in the sauce instead of it being coated /tossed in the sauce, was not great. The shrimp though, was plump and juicy.
Finally, the service was great. We were lucky enough to have Mira as our server and she was very attentive. We came there at 8 PM on a Monday and the food came out very fast and looked great. The table was clean and the atmosphere was nice.

On our way to the Chihully Art Gallery, we stumbled upon this indoor/ outdoor seating restaurant. It's menu offers fresh sushi, tacos, salads and more. Delicious!

We had a fantastic time visiting Mangosteen! We ordered many appetizers and meals, everything was delicious! I ordered the volcano roll and bang bang shrimp — we had a large party and everyone enjoyed the food! If back in St. Pete, I would return!

Three people at here last night around 9pm. Very few other tables in house. Was a pretty long delay for the table touch and the beer and mixed drink took a very long time considering so few tables were occupied.

We had dumplings, sushi, and a noodle dish.

This would be a one star review but the noodles saved it. The wontons were dreadful, especially the duck. I love duck. This was bad. I don’t even know how you make duck bad, but they pulled it off. The pork was not much better.

The sushi roll had tempura shrimp in it, that was either hours old or cooked improperly. It was hard and chewy, more like a chicken finger than shrimp tempura. The Nigiri slices were pretty ratty looking. The sushi rice was proper.

We wouldn’t return.

Great service, great atmosphere, great cocktails, and great food.

Enjoyed a nice evening at an outside table. Our server Vikki was great. I started out with a 22-43 cocktail which I had never heard of before but I was very intrigued by it being a fan of whiskey. A blend of Woodford Reserve, Brazilian Banana Liqueur, Demerara, and bitters. It was delicious! I was a little nervous about the whiskey and banana flavors together but it's a great combination. We also ordered the seaweed salad (also a first for me) and the Spicy Pork and Spicy Shrimp Dumplings. They were great although I'm not sure I would consider them to be spicy. I went with the drunken noodle with steak and asked for it to be spicy. I then asked if it was Thai spicy and Nikki asked if I was sure I could handle it. I was sure. That too didn't really seem spicy to me but it was still great.

I'll definitely be back here to try some of the other dishes.

Food was amazing! Nice outdoor seating but we did have an issue with a homeless man asking for money.

I came in close to closing time, honestly expecting the service to be a little off because of how late it was, but I was so wrong. Mira was incredible! She was genuinely kind, attentive, and made me feel welcome even though the night was winding down. You can tell she truly enjoys what she does, and it shows in every small detail. Thanks to her, the whole experience felt upbeat and effortless. Mira is hands down the best waitress I’ve ever had! 10/10! Definitely will be coming back soon!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I had the Volcano Sushi Roll and it was absolutely fantastic! I’d seen photos and videos online, and it completely lived up to the hype. The flavors were fresh and delicious, and the presentation was beautiful. Plus, it’s both dog- and baby-friendly, which made the experience even better. Highly recommend this spot!
