We drove downtown just to visit this restaurant listing many vegetarian options. We were not disappointed. We started out with the Cold Appetizer Combo, selecting Mediterranean Hummas, Kisir, and Grape leaves. This was served with pita wedges and could have served as our entree. We followed up with hot appetizers, falafels and Spinach Feta Borek and a Falafel Platter. We visit Mediterranean restaurants quite often. The dishes at Mios were like none other. Wonderful!

A fabulous little spot downtown that is locally owned! My food was absolutely divine! The staff was so friendly and helpful! I ordered the cheese pie rolls, yogurt kebap, and had Turkish coffee and a piece of complimentary pistachio baklava for dessert! One of my nee favorites downtown!

This is a great place to grab a quick lunch, or a nice dinner. Best met food in DTSP.

I’ve been to Mio’s Mediterranean Restaurant several times now, and it’s always an absolute delight from start to finish! This gem serves up some of the most flavorful and authentic Mediterranean dishes I’ve ever tasted, and the warm, welcoming service made the experience even better.

The Greek Salad was a standout—crisp romaine, juicy tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, and tangy feta, all tossed in a zesty homemade Greek dressing. The black olives and oregano added that perfect Mediterranean flair. It was fresh, vibrant, and the ideal start to the meal.

The Chicken Sauté was a hearty dish packed with flavor. The tender chicken was cooked with tomatoes, peppers, onions, garlic, and mushrooms in a savory sauce, served over rice pilaf with warm pita on the side. Every bite was a comforting burst of Mediterranean spices.

The Yogurt Kebab was another highlight—succulent, thinly sliced beef-lamb mix nestled on a bed of rice pilaf, topped with a creamy, tangy yogurt sauce that tied it all together.

The Grilled Meatball Dish is equally impressive, featuring juicy, well-seasoned hamburger patties grilled to perfection, served with a side of rice pilaf that complimented the meat perfectly. The balance of spices and textures makes it a must-try.

The Chicken Tenders were golden, crispy, and juicy. They’re perfect for anyone craving a classic done right.

What truly elevated the experience was the exceptional service from our waiter, Mehmet, and waitress, Iva. Mehmet was incredibly attentive, offering great recommendations with a genuine smile that made us feel right at home. His knowledge of the menu and enthusiasm for the food was infectious. Iva was equally wonderful—her warm, friendly demeanor and quick check-ins ensured we had everything we needed without ever feeling rushed. The accent of both waiters also helped to give the restaurant an authentic feel. Their hospitality embodies the Mediterranean spirit of welcoming guests like family.

Mio’s is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, delicious Mediterranean cuisine in a cozy, inviting atmosphere. Whether you’re a fan of fresh salads, savory kebabs, hearty meatballs, or comforting classics, the food here will leave you satisfied. And with stellar servers like Mehmet and Iva, you’re guaranteed a memorable dining experience.

Ece and Iva were our servers, and they were amazing! Friendly, funny, and they educated us about Turkish wine and food. We came here for my birthday celebration and we were so happy we chose this place. We have eaten at every major restaurant in St. Petersburg , and we found this one to be our favorite. I had the meatballs and my wife had the yogurt kebab. Both were the most delicious food we have had in St Pete! The pita was in small sections and also fresh and delicious. For dessert we ordered pistachio baklava, but because it was my birthday these two very lovely ladies brought a tray with Turkish ice cream, a cake and the baklava, and sang happy birthday to me. I also had a Turkish coffee that was wonderful. This is a not to be missed place and we will return!

It’s rare to find spots that do a solid job without overdoing it. This place is one of those gems. No need for flashy presentations or over-the-top flavors.
everything is just right, exactly where it should be.”
A special shoutout to our servers, Mehmet and Ece. Mehmet was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and offered fantastic recommendations. Ece’s friendly demeanor and attentive service made our experience even more enjoyable. Together, they made us feel like part of the Mios family:)

This little cozy Mediterranean place is one of my favorites now. Everything felt top notch and the food tasted like you were in Greece. We first got the Spinach feta rolls which were amazing. We also got the Beef Gyro platter which was great and all the ingredients were delicious and very fresh. The service was perfect and very reasonable price for how fresh everything is. If you are craving anything Mediterranean food this is the place for you.

First time trying this little "hole-in-the-wall" mediterranean food spot. Lots of great Greek- and Turkish-inspired dishes. Everything was very tasty. Staff was attentive and friendly. Will be back to try other things as well! Can recommend if this type of food is your 'thing'.

Quaint little spot (St Pete location), felt like a local taverna in the middle of the Mediterranean. Perfect ambiance to include beautiful decor and Mediterranean music at a good lower volume, so you may speak to your companions at a normal tone. So refreshing to not have music blasting like it's a club - so nice to have a calm meal ?

We went for lunch today (Saturday, 1:30 p.m. ish) and it was packed! We grabbed a booth by luck. Our server offered phenomenal service - warm, friendly, yet not overbearing. It was perfect. We definitely recommend reservations during weekend peak lunch and dinner hours as it is a small space.

We each had the yogurt kebab platter and it was so well-seasoned, fresh, and delicious. We wish we could have their exact recipe for how they cook their rice because it is hands down the best rice I've ever had in my life. Huge portion too! I now have dinner leftovers. We could have shared just one entree and one app and still come out full. We didn't have space for dessert, but they looked SO good we may even just be back for Turkish coffee and dessert one afternoon.

Can't wait to go back and take other friends with. It has been so hard to find local restaurants lately that check all the boxes without breaking the bank -- while still maintaining a high level of quality, freshness, and uniqueness. Keep it just like this, Mio's!
