Pita's Republic Saint Petersburg

Excellent lunch spot in the heart of Gateway area. They have great Pitas, salads, and wraps. Healthy food at affordable prices. I try to make it there weekly. The owner is a very nice guy and is always there working hard. Highly recommend for a fast healthy lunch. I truly do not understand the bad reviews on here. Many seem to be upset about the hours. So you discount a place because they close early sometimes? It is pretty much a one man operation much of the time. Also, I have never had my order wrong or been given poor customer service. They are always kind and fast. It seems some of the "local guides" get a little full of themselves.

Other reviewers on here are correct, the hours are not right. Came by for an early dinner, 4:45 on a Friday and they’re closed.. how do you maintain a restaurant being closed at 4:45?

The employees are amazing. I love the gyros and chicken ceasar salad.

It's an OK place. The meat didn't taste like much and the tzaziki sauce is watery. The prices are rather high for what it is, but the special is ok with chips and drink.

I frequent this gem in the plaza atleast once a week to see the gentleman who runs it singlehandly it seems. The tzatziki, salad dressing, potato salad ,tabuli, rice all are made in house and seasoned to perfection uniquely and good enough that none seems to replicate. Fresh ingredients that you can tell are prepped every day. I wish all the pitas republics were owned and operated like here. Highly recommended you try it out.

Bad experience going to this location for the first time. As soon as I call they put me on hold, after a while I had to hang up and call back. I ask for a chicken Caesar pita and he said he couldn’t understand me. He was trying to tell me that chicken pita and chicken Caesar Pita is different. I know what I ask for and was well aware because I order it all the time from another location. I also tried to order a mango smoothie and was informed that they no longer make smoothies. I felt the customer service could be better and will not be returning to this location again.

These guys are so friendly and the food is very consistent in quality with fast service. I go at least once a week for the gyro feta salad. So good and you can't beat the prices. Go enough and they'll start remembering your order!

The food is fresh and great! I have probably had everything on their menu. But, their hours are not listed correctly. If you are going for lunch on a weekday it is a great location! If you are looking for something over the weekend don't bother the hours listed are incorrect.

I absolutely love Pita's Republic. They have hands down my favorite gyros around and not to mention fantastic smoothies. If you enjoy gyros you shouldn't be disappointed at all with Pita's Republic. Give a try you won't regret it.
