WORST BARTENDERS around . Beyond slow and rude . The manager came out to tell the bartender something and he was just as rude . The only thing that place has going is the views . Will never go back

Staff and vibe were great, perfect view of the sky bridge. The upper deck was not open. The only vegetarian menu item -jackfruit wrap was not available so there wasn't much else for me to eat. Staff was amazing to help suggest somewhere else to eat with vegetarian items. Would possibly stay at the resort with kids, seems very kid friendly place.

I’d heard about this place and we decided to check it out. There were two men seated when we arrived. Two thirty + year olds, a quiet baby and me( grandma70. We were not greeted or acknowledged by anyone. There appeared to be one bartender but with 5 people, no problem. We used the QR code on our table and ordered 3 drinks and 2 nibbles. 15 minutes later a group arrived and sat at the bar and had drinks poured immediately. We were sitting in plain view of the bartender and a man who later was obviously some type of employee. He had walked past us numerous times but never said a word. We finally went up to the bar and were told by a very uninterested bartender that we were to order our drinks from him and the food from the app. Nice to know! He acted very perturbed and offered no help. The place has TOTAL POTENTIAL! The spaces are cool, the vibe is awesome and I want this place to work because we need all the fun spots we can get! You need HOSPITALITY BADLY! You need to acknowledge customers! You need to be KIND AND HELPFUL. You need to make it FUN! We hopefully hit a bad day but there should NEVER BE A BAD DAY AT THE BEACH! We boat a lot with our guests and we are starved for cool places to come by water. We will try again and hope someone gets a clue about what brings people back. Great drinks, decent food and FUN!

Don’t start a tab, pay for each drink individually so you can instantly dispute the cost!

Similar to other reviews, I was overcharged by $30 + for drinks that we didn’t order. When I inquired with the female bartender, I was boldly told that I was incorrect. When 3 people order 2 drinks each, somehow that equaled 9.

It’s sad to see them take advantage of locals, let alone anyone.

We arrived by boat and had some drinks and grouper bites. Great food and drinks. My only complaint was the music being played at the bar. I would prefer to hear music that makes me feel like I’m on vacation. Reggae music would be perfect. Not the Jackson 5, Phil Collins. The bartender says he was not able to change it. I will be back again! Great improvement.

The remodel of this resort is looking great. Happy to have it here. However, the bar isn’t something I’d spend a lot of time at again. Drinks are watered down and the tab for 1 “happy hour” shot, 3 cocktails (non premium, and an order of chicken fingers was $70 with an 18% tip. Huh? Not worth it.

What a disappointment after waiting so long for the SkyBar to open and bring friends. I used to work there when it was the Nepa Hut. Back then the people were friendly and happy to be working there. Always engaging with the customers and so welcoming. We were happy to see the smiling faces of our customers. Sadly that was not the experience today. I could understand if it was busy, but it wasn’t busy at 4:45pm on Tues. I stood at the bar for several minutes, trying to get a menu, the most I got was a sideways glance without a smile or a hello. For a new place you would think you would have people that would be excited to work there and be friendly and courteous enough to say hello. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. We were so disappointed we left without being spoken to. Quite honestly, it didn’t even deserve one star.

It really is a shame. We’re all locals and wanted to find a new place where we could bring our friends, hang out and enjoy the beauty of the hotel and its surroundings. I guess we need to keep looking. Perhaps you need to find someone who is happy and can spare a smile and an hello. No recommendations from us to the SkyBar.

I live next door. I’ve been 3 times since the re-opened and I have been overcharged every single time. First time okay… second time annoyed… third time, now I think it’s just part of some grift.. but beware just check your bill.

After 20 years away, it was nostalgic to see the former Nipa Hut, now Sky Bar, back open. They did a fantastic job with the renovations. The food is tasty, the atmosphere is lively, and the wait staff is superb. However, I was taken aback by the high prices. For four whiskeys and four small protein bowls (which were more like appetizers, though delicious), my bill came to over $250. At first, I thought there was a mistake and jokingly asked if I paid for the entire bar. Nope! It's definitely pricey.

Other than the gouging prices, probably to pay for the renovations, we had a pretty good time. That's the reason for my rating.

We ordered and paid for drinks, did not get them. He "forgot" after serving a family. It was the family of 4 and us, that's it. 18% gratuity already on the bill. NO TIP FOR STUPIDITY.
