Stopped in for a nightcap during our last night in St. Pete. Overall vibe was low key, older crowd (yay), and great prices on happy hour drinks for top shelf vodka (Tito's @ 6.50/drink). First bartender that served us wasn't very friendly but the 2nd one was. Place was not quiet but not very loud either so you could carry a conversation. The only other downside (besides the first bartender) is searching for parking. Overall good vibe though and comfortable.

Granted this review was done late afternoon. We were welcomed by the bartender and got our drinks quickly. This is a local watering hole during the day it could be more of a hot spot in the evening, I'm not sure? There were probably 8 to 10 customers there who all seemed to know each other pretty well and pretty much kept to themselves. We had just left another place that was extremely welcoming and maybe that's why we felt this place wasn't as. It's a big space, and it seems like nightlife could be fun with the DJ booth and a pool table, just a nice family run establishment.

The owner forcefully put his hands on my friend and when we asked what was going on he told us we were refused service. It was bizarre and inappropriate and we will not be coming back.

The owner kicked me out due to the fact that I decided to video a car that legitimately hit, an employees car. I tried to get back into the bar and he said absolutely not. I was kicked out, for showing a video of a person hitting their employees vehicle. I cannot believe this. Sending video to 911. Called when at 34th st at shell.

I popped into the Garage after drag brunch and the first thing I noticed was the glorious AC. Lol, hey it is Florida after all. I was trying to sweat off my makeup, so AC was a big win. The bar is clean, there are tables, a stage, a pool table, and darts. Honestly, all the things I look for in a bar. The bartenders were nice and the drinks were on point. Also, I'd like to say, it was nice to not have to tell someone how to make a vodka gimlet. The last few years it seems like this drink is so bizarre, but at the garage not only did they make it no problem they asked if I wanted more sweetened lime. The drag performances were fun and the atmosphere was chill. It's not a flashy bar or a club, it's nice place to grab a drink.
Incredible staff - amazing vibe. The owner Rai was the only negative part of the experience. Please go support the staff but if you come across Rai, please kindly request that he doesn’t con you out of more money on a broken machine without disclosing who he was

The bartender is dry, I think his mouth is broken. He didn't know how to respond to my questions or most likely didn't care too. I can only imagine I don't fit the normal customer base as to the unwelcome deminor this evening. I DON'T recommend The Garage On Central
