This place has a lot to offer and so much potential. The question I pose is, is there a reason the no see ums have not been addressed? It seems like it would be an easy fix or something that could have resulted in a lot of customer retention. The atmosphere, pricing, and overall experience was pleasant but difficult to enjoy because I was so itchy. After reading other reviews I’m so scared of the week I have ahead of me with these bites. My question is why isn’t this being addressed? Is this a difficult problem to solve or a reason you wouldn’t want to try to eliminate reasons for people not to become returning customers? I began the night absolutely adoring this place and by the end I was like I NEED THE CHECK NOW!!!

Unfortunately, the coffee was just okay for a 40 minute wait. We got the Samoa and the strawberry. The food looked great, but I didn’t have any :( cool atmosphere, I just think it’s one of the only reasons to come here.

Huge shoutout to Delaney, our awesome bartender, who made me the most delicious mango margarita 🍹—seriously, SO good. The food was amazing too—we loved everything we tried! Definitely a spot we’ll be coming back to. 💛

Arrived about 11:30 on a Saturday. Already very busy. Two hostesses coming in from Beach parking seemed uninterested and relieved we chose to find a bar seat. Craft beer folks, not much and all in cans. Marker 48 Hazy sufficed. View of the water was awesome. Had fish dip which was very good and old Florida style, not too creamy and more fish than filler. Also ordered hush puppies. I received 5, which were too salty and thick and pasty. I ate one. Our bartender glady removed them from our tab. Some of the other dishes that came out looked good. Prices, in my opinion are at the top end for what this place is. Would I go back? I wouldn't not go back but might seek out a more reasonably priced venue.

Was fine until payment came. Organized a business lunch here, had spoken to management and got party size, time, and payment form approved by them over a week before the event. Event went fine, but come payment, the owner stepped in and decided they didnt want to accept our form of payment, which was personally approved by their management a week before, and was conditional for our reservation.
They made a stink, made tons of excuses, and embarrassed us at the time to pay. Owner doesn't trust their management, the servers clearly dislike their owner and management

We had an amazing experience at The Getaway Saint Pete! The location is stunning—such a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy a great meal. Huge thanks to Aaron for his attentive and friendly service—he even brought us bug spray and personally walked us over to our sunset cruise. He truly went above and beyond. Highly recommend!
