Ordered the swordfish ($46). What I got was a small 1/2” thick x 4” x 5” piece. Totally over priced or undersized.

Overall an underwhelming experience. Appetizers were great, kale salad, octopus and brussel sprouts were worth it and would order again. The main appetizers of the sea bass and swordfish were both incredibly dry and overcooked. Very disappointing knowing that they had been good in the past and the waiter seemed to not acknowledge that the meal had been underwhelming, almost indifferent, seeming to have heard that issue before. Could’ve been great but left feeling disappointed.

I can't say enough about this place and feel it doesn't get the recognition it deserves. I brought my husband here for his birthday and promotion dinner and what an unforgettable experience it was. I messaged the general manager and told him I wanted to make sure my husband got the full experience since he'd been wanting to dine here since he first heard about the Horse Soldier Distillery. We were seated almost right away, in a secluded part of the restaurant, which I appreciated. Our servers welcomed us with a congratulate and happy birthday and dove right into the history and background of the distillery and restaurant. Being a part of that "world" it was very exciting introduction into the menu. We loved everything we ordered, to include the cocktails which were superb! At the end of our dinner, the general manager approached us and heard we were celebrating a promotion and offered to give us a tour of a special section of the restaurant dedicated and reserved for special guests. I don't want to give it away, but it was pretty amazing given the history of those founders and everything that came afterwards. It was like visiting a museum and a small part of history and we couldn't be more grateful for the tour. We loved it so much that we came back with more people and they were also equally impressed by the food, service and the history behind the place.

We had an amazing dinner to celebrate our anniversary! The table was intimate & sound level was good for conversation. Highly suggest their manhattan with the cool smoke. We felt pampered on our special day with great food, service & setting. We also enjoyed taking photos downstairs by the fireplace. So nice to avoid downtown parking issues - the valet parking here is fast & efficient,

I came here for my 21st birthday. I found everything to be the best i Could imagine. As a service member i appreciated the backstory and legacy too the Horse Soldiers. The atmosphere is indescribable. it’s Dimly lit and rugged. it can be the perfect environment for any occasion. Our servers name was Jordin and she was perfect. Food was delightful. If you are in the St pete area this is a must see location

Nice ambiance. Food was big miss aside from the starters. Entrees were extremely salty cooked down sauces. Wagyu short ribs were very dry and flaky like a bad pot roast. Bison tasted bland like feed lot but nice smokiness. We went for a birthday meal as two former fine dining chefs. Spent $250 to try several items (no alcohol). Definitely overpriced. Perhaps it was good in the past but from watching the open kitchen I would say the cooks and chef lost enthusiasm. A jeans restaurant.

We rented the restaurant out for an engagement photography session, and the staff was very accommodating! The architecture was stunning. We can’t wait to go back!

Amazing place Top Notch service amazing staff great food will definitely return one of the best places I've been to in St Pete
I had the Ribeye, and it was cooked perfectly... but it had a nerve running all the way through it. My wife had the Pappardelle, and it was great. The drinks were made with care.

Very warm, industrial and rich ambience with dark walls, fireplace, large leather sofas, metal (watch your knees) and wood tables. Visited for brunch with the ladies so we had various apps, all the apps were tasty and plentiful. Of course had to try the espresso martini tower. Not all my faves but shared with a friend so worked out very well. Will definitely visit with the fellas. The gift shop is a guys dream room with whiskey and cigar gifts.
Parking: Complimentary Valet parking but there a parking lot on the other side of the building.
