Tsunami Japanese Steakhouse

We had a great time just last Friday. Everyone was so accommodating. Great attitudes during a very busy night. Everyone was working hard as a team. Prayers for the families that are impacted by the loss. We hope to be back with y’all someday soon.

Food was priced good, quality of food was exceptionally well. Friendly and attentive servers and host, all the Chefs are different some are more interactive then others. Obviously the more skilled, interactive chefs make your dining experience way more fun. But over all good time. likely to return

Went here for a Monday dinner, wait was about 20 minutes, but I could have booked a table. Menu has options for everyone. Tuna and Philadelphia rolls were amazing. As well as crab Ragoons, nothing exceptional but a nice place to spend a night.

Arriving for our first visit, we were quite surprised how crowded it. Fortunately, we had reservations and so were seated within 5 minutes of arrival. We were right next to the grill and had front row seats to the flaming showmanship of the chef who also used his utensils like a juggler. Now the food: appetizers were average and portions adequate. The fried calamari with overdone and quite crunchy. The egg rolls were very good. The soft shell crab was unrecognizable but tasted good. Now to the teppanyaki. For those who do not know that cooking style it uses a flat steel surface to cook the entire meal-meats, vegetables, seafood, rice, etc. The ordering consists of everyone getting the same noodles, rice, vegetable stir fry (broccoli, zucchini, onion, etc). The difference in selections consist of the various meats--beef, chicken, shrimp, lobster. My wife had the shrimp lobster combo. Shrimp portion was adequate while the lobster was mini portion which at least tasted like it was a lobster. Even though the restaurant was packed the entire time we were there, it was extremely well staffed with each member knowing what to do and how to do it in a timely courteous manner. Food was better than average and the teppanyaki showmanship plus excellent staff rate this establishment 4 stars.

Fun dinner for my little cousin's Bornday? our waiter and chef were so funny and attentive. I enjoyed everything except for the soup. The plum wine was delicately tasty yet strong??

The sushi tasted fairly good, and it's preparation was decent. The color of the fish, and the rice pliability both were off. The rolls fall completely apart when picked up. The wasabi was not good. Just avoid it.The cleanliness of the restaurant is good, as was service. Oddly they added 18% gratuity to a table of two? We typically would tip much better, and we're surprised they would add that automatically.

Great sushi place with a really nice hibachi experience. We started with fried oyster, by the way they were delicious, after we got a few sushi rolls, tuna roll is my favorite. Excellent cocktails and not pricey at all. Service was fast and on point, didn't expect that in St Pete were most of the places are "slow". I really recommend this restaurant if you are in the area

They treated us a very warm welcome, cared about our order and explained everything well, they also had great strawberry daiquiris!! An it was my daughter’s birthday

If I could write this place is zero, I would. I’m pretty sure the health department would love to visit here. This place is filthy. I went to pick up the menu, there was so much filth grease and bumps all over it. I am mediately dropped it. The Table counter was so greasy that you could write your name on it. The cook took over 45 min to cook our food. She ordered a A mid rare steak. She couldn’t even eat it. Brought it up to the manager. He did not want to deal with the situation nor was he going to refund us or offer us another meal. Never go here

Filthy dirty! Arrived used restroom and alerted “manager” to no soap. 1.5 hours later nobody filled it. Glass shelves have not been cleaned in years. Fake flowers and other decor thick with dust , “this is a very hot place” was the excuse. Plexiglass dividers covered in fingerprints and grease. Sanitizing rag sitting on the bar top was used once but not to clean barstools or booths. Food took a long time due to take out orders overwhelming the kitchen. Huh? Don’t bother with this place.

Great dinner experience. Went there for my grandson's 13th birthday ?. Had a great time. They brought out ice cream with a candle and sang HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! It was great. A plus if you take your child's birth certificate and get a discount. The entire family had a great time.
