The restaurant is beautiful and the staff is friendly. However you go for the esthetics and not the quality of the food. Although everything is served as pictured online the food is RIDICULOUSLY expensive and average. If it's your first time visiting the restaurant knowing where or how to order is confusing. In addition there is tip/gratuity added to your bill that you cannot opt out of. This is added whether you are a seated guest or takeout customer. I can now say that I have experienced Pura Vida,but don't have to go again.

We were lucky when we arrived and found a table outside . Our son and his wife and granddaughter came within 15 minutes/ everyone wanted the 2 extra chairs ! Very busy location . My son and my husband went inside to order and then when it’s ready they bring it to the table ( they give us a number to put on the table ). We ordered 2 Avocado ? smash , one with over easy side egg , a walnut banana bread . Looks like a large muffin. Fruit salad with Greek yogurt and granola. And an egg sandwich with turkey bacon . And of course coffees . A

Ordered the (seriously overpriced) salmon mango bowl. Everything looked fresh and beautiful but the salmon was bad. It was dry (OK it happens...) but worse it tasted fishy liek it had gone past its prime. My waiter was great, and even though his English wasn't that good, he offered to get me a new piece of salmon for my bowl (cooked well done was his suggestion, but again I'm not sure he knew why I was returning it). Sure enough, the new piece tasted as bad as the first. Not my waiter's fault, and I thanked him for his help (and tipped him again on top of the existing tip). But here's the thing: no one from management or the kitchen ever came out, apologized or offered me anything (free dessert?). Are they just serving bad fish and hoping no one will notice? They sure took my money. in NYC we have real resturants with real service ethics. To me this is far worse than getting a bad piece of fish for lunch. And before the owner gets on here with some nonsense, I eat salmon all the time, it is one of my favorite foods. I have NEVER had worse, anywhere. If you are going to charge $36 with "service fees" etc you should assume your clientele has probably had salmon before. A little dry, sure... but BAD? No. Just. No.

on line orders are ignored or discarded.. spent a half hour subscribing in the hopes of a decent delivery.. no such luck...a waste of time wish i could give them a 0

Great food, amazing ingredients....too bad what you order is never what you get. For some reason, which I can't figure out, they mess up, screw up, get it wrong, the delivery of the order. Place the order online and at least 33% of the time, they (not sure who "they" is) deliver something that you did not order. Receipt is correct, but not what is delivered. Pura Vida-either get it right (not hard) or stop delivery. This is not difficult If you can't execute that is fine, just don't do it anymore an disappoint those of us who order.

Pura Vida asks & expects too much of customers by BOLDLY adding service fees to customers' orders, WHO AREN'T DINING IN, for the back of house tips. WHO DOES THAT?! The food is already expensive, the only people that should be tipped are the people that actually serve customers who are sitting down eating. If I'm taking an order to go, the amount I pay for the food itself…The listed menu items & prices...is what should be paying the hourly wage for those employees. Tipping should never be required. Its presumptuously distasteful & ridiculous. So for this reason, not only have I unsubscribed to your emails, I no longer want to patronize this restaurant at all.

Went on a Sunday morning, it’s was simply amazing, from the deco , the waiters and food. Will encouragement people to try it if you are visiting Miami . Really nice ?? 10/10

The food is bland and overpriced. If you want a better salad and a lot of it, try Moxies. It’s unbelievable how small the portions are at Pura Vida.

Service is wonderful! Anita and Gina did not let me go in the rain and went out of their way to find me a plastic bag for my order not to get wet outside. Customer service at Pura Vida South Point is exceptional, caring and friendly. I love to order there frequently.
