This is the only place I’ll eat at. Portions are very generous, food is always fresh. The couple that owns/runs the place are really nice and always happy to see us. We normally order the QT size portions and they are amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this place. My family and I will always eat here.

My wife was wanting Chinese food for dinner and decided to try King Garden. After I picked it up for her, I asked her how it was. She said it was so bad she couldn’t even eat it. I had seen a variety of reviews on this restaurant, but I’d have to say the ones with poor ratings are on target. I hate to bash a restaurant, but this is a heads up for anyone else wanting to try it. Stay away from the King Garden next door to the revenue office. No photos because she didn’t waste any time in throwing it out.

Zero flavor. The sweet & sour chicken was devoid of any flavor, not even natural chicken or breading flavor. A black hole of nothingness. Same with the white rice. The chicken fried rice was a little different: the fried rice itself, again, had no flavor to be found anywhere, not even an oil remnant. The chicken in the rice, however, both tasted and smelled like a dirty sock. Truly an amazing feat of cooking.
I love this place I've been coming here for takeout for years. Beautiful local family business. I find consistency in the quality and quantity. I love the taste. Anytime I'm out that way I try and stop in and get something.

King Garden use to be great....They recently downsized their lunch specials and the Boneless Barbecue Ribs were all fat...Another restaurant gone by the way side...😪😪😪

You could taste the dirty grease in the food. Egg rolls and shrimp toast was so over cooked had a burn taste they went in the trash. Very disappointing 1st visit

What a surprise! I Decided to try King Garden Chinese Take Out, after i saw it next to the Marion County tax collectors office in a non de script strip center. No complaints here… Don’t let the look of this place fool you. Great fresh hot & TASTY chinese take out at fair prices make this place a winner. i now alternate between them and Shang Hai Take out, both in the Summerfield Florida area. You can never have enough good Take out places in your arsenal of restaurants stored in your phone. Make sure you try their egg rolls & Won Ton Soup, both awesome appetizers! Overall Rating ~ Very Good.
