Sorry we didn't discover this restaurant when it first opened; I asked and was told July of 2023. Campo Azul is by far the best Mexican restaurant in the Villages area. My husband and I were there for lunch, and ordered off the Monday-Friday Lunch menu; very reasonable prices. He had the (ground) beef burrito, which was full of beef and very tasty. Was great. I think that it's a bit pricey for lunch, but more than you can eat and delicious. Service was perfect. No wait. Food came shortly after the order went in. Chorizo dip is very good. So is their salsa.

You will not find a better Mexican joint better than this. Samuel the owner and all of his staff he recruited from his past employments are the most wonderful people you could hope to meet. I would HIGHLY recommend carne asada from here. This is my wife and I’s favorite restaurant period. It’s worth a drive!
