Review Pho Villages

My wife and I visited for lunch at 1400, plenty of parking in the lot outside.

Inside the restaurant there are 8-10 tables for customers, two were occupied this afternoon during our visit. The kitchen extractor fan and music were pretty loud. We placed our orders at the counter and paid electronically, the counterman said to have a seat and he would bring our meals to us.

We found our table to have sticky food residue and part of a fried noodle left by previous customers. The table rocked from uneven legs, but we were able to wedge the wet napkins we generated by cleaning the table-top beneath the short leg and the table stabilized.

So far, not looking too impressive, but the food has not yet arrived, so we remain hopeful.I was hoping to see hoisin sauce, and maybe some nuoc-mam in table dispensers, but this was not to be.

When the food arrived, things started looking up! I chose the char-grilled pork Bün (mixed diced greens and vegetables, bean sprouts, and vermicelli noodles, topped with nuoc-cham (a pleasing dressing of lime juice, sugar, nuoc-mam, and water)). The char-grilled pork was the tastiest I have ever found, nicely mixed which seared/browned vegetables that might have been shallots, or green onions, or lemongrass. Super flavorful, with plenty of pork.

The other dish we ordered was Shrimp Pad-Thai. We thought the noodles were over-cooked to the point of mushiness, and the shrimp were tough and flavorless.

So, one hit, one miss on the food,I am sure everything varies from day to day, so your experience may be different, but I was amazed by the taste and preparation of the char-grilled pork.

Oh, one last thing: It appears that only paper plates/bowls and plastic utensils are used, even for dine-in, and based on the actions of others, it looks like you are expected to bus your own table before leaving.

Horrible service. My food was canceled after 1hr of me ordering it. Do not eat here. Worst restaurant in town.

Ordered boba tea and they didn’t have boba straws. They gave us regular straws and spoons to eat the boba. Definitely not the way you want to drink your boba tea.
If they didn’t have the right straws they shouldn’t have been selling boba tea that day, or they should have let the customer know ahead of time.

I love this spot!! The food is so fresh and delicious, I’m a fan of their Pad Thai (both shrimp and chicken are to die for), my husband loves their Bao Buns and Pho Tai Nam. The antmosphere of the restaurant is clean and welcoming and every time we order, the proprietor(s) are incredibly kind, if they are out of a particular ingredient the day we order, they are ready with enticing alternatives. And if they are out of anything I imagine it’s because everything is fresh and likely locally sourced.

Frankly, if you’ve driven by it, seen the signs for it and are curious - do it! I haven’t yet tried the boba tea, but that’s next on my list!

I hope this restaurant is around for a while to come!

Plus they didn’t wear any gloves they touched money and food with bare hands when he caught me looking he told me to go take a seat ! How disgusting and unsanitary!!! He was fixing someone else’s order doing that i got that person doesn’t get sick ill never eat here again i wouldn’t even feed this to my dog, or maybe i would

Modified to meet the taste of the American public. With that being said, I suggest trying it out.

Vegetarian options: There is fish sauce in many items, so ask them to leave it out, but you are missing a real treat.

Parking: In a large shopping center.

Kid-friendliness: Kids will love it. Get them a Boba smoothie.

Wheelchair accessibility: All one level.

The BEST Pho and Vietnamese food around. We have not found a better one in the north central Florida region. Try everything on the menu, you will not be disappointed!

The food was fantastic but the service people wouldn't stop telling my son how they didn't think he would like the spicy food or the food in general and kept trying to get us to order white rice. Because they mentioned so many times how they didn't think children would like the food he refused to eat it. We eat a lot of Vietnamese food even though we are Caucasian and I think that if they had not insisted so much that my son wouldn't have liked it he would have eaten too. Otherwise the atmosphere and the food are fantastic. He did really like the bubble tea as well.

Very good food, but small portions for the amount spent on fried rice, the portion was very tiny. The pho was excellent! The bao was very good, but skimp on the pork. It was really a tiny amount. Like scraps.. 2 to 3 pieces the size smaller than my pinky nail.
