We had heard this location was closing, so we went there before it closes to use up my gift certificate. When we arrived, there was a sign on the front door “ take out orders and fried selection only”. Apparently they are using up the supply of fish that they have and not ordering more. We walked away. We will go to another location.

Very nice place to eat fair prices and plenty of food. You have some to take home employees are great.

This restaurant is by no means fancy. The floors are concrete, and the tables are plain. Service was acceptable, with some attentiveness. We had the cod special of the day and it was cooked just right. The sides were average. For a basic seafood lunch when out shopping and running errands, this is an acceptable place.

Ladies Night Out & we all had something different. Nobody had a complaint about anything; amazing for 9 women. The food was good & plentiful; most took food home. Lots of room for big groups.

Great food! Our server, Brian, had a very large party in addition to his other tables and he was on it. Refilled waters, checked on us, great service. The hostess (didn't get her name, sorry) was great with seating us with our special needs daughter in a lay down wheelchair. Thank you all!Wheelchair accessibility: Good spacing between tables allowing for easy access and WC seating.

They have an north east family own seafood restaurant feel on Florida. The interior is set up like it from the tables to the wood paneling on the walls. Our server was really good and super nice and so was who sat us and who we paid. The food was great if u like fish they have a ton of options cooked anyway u could want. The price is about $20-$30 for a dinner and right now with inflation for seafood that is a hell of a price. The only reason they didn't get 5 stars is the same problem with any seafood here no matter where u go. Unless u are eating $100 entrees, we are 90 miles from the coast so nothing is fresh. Don't get me wrong the food was great and u get more than u could hope to finish. But if u hope to see waterman selling there catch for cash at the seafood market attached to the restaurant like the north east u will be disappointed at every seafood spot around here. They do an amazing job with what they have the cost and service way better than a chain.

You can't get lobster at their price anywhere else. The food is always good and the service is great. Been coming here for years and will always return.

My wife and I ordered take out, I got shrimp and scallops, cheese grits and fried okra. Wife got shrimp and oysters cheese grits and fried okra. We picked it up got to our vehicle and checked . My order was ok ex cept portion size 4 shrimp 5 scallops. My wife order was all oysters,no shrimp like she ordered. 5 min after picking it up she took her order back to complain about no shrimp, after paying 34 dollars for above order, she was charged an additional 4 dollars. Never again

I'm in town visiting my dad and stepmom; we came to Sam's for dinner (my main objective to get conch fritters), and the experience was way beyond enjoyable! This is an unassuming place within the Terraces Shopping Center that turns into a gem once you enter. Quite a large, nautical themed dining area (the mermaids were cool), fast and friendly service, and excellent food! I had the Scampi Fiesta with cheese grits and slaw, dad had the catfish, and stepmom had the crab legs...all the food came quickly but hot and fresh, very large portions! The conch fritters were some of the best I've had.Our server, Vanessa, was very personable, friendly, and helpful; she definitely made an already enjoyable experience even more so than we'd expected! If you're in the area, I highly recommend Sam's!

Second time eating there. Love the oysters. None of the fish is served from fresh, but very yummy!

First time ordering.. door dash.. trio seafood plate.. 6 shrimp, 5 scallops and 1 crab cake. Hardly any fries.. very disappointed..

All you can eat shrimp is a bad deal. Didn’t even taste like shrimp. Crab legs were over cooked, way too soft. Didn’t even crack when using the crackers. Clam chowder very bland. Was extremely disappointed as the reviews for this were high. I will say the cheese grits were pretty good, as to a 2 rating. Was a birthday dinner for my husband and was very disappointed and we drove 40 minutes to get there. Will not return.

We had two of the best meals ever at this place! Affordable and delicious! Few days later, we went to bonefish grill, and it was not nearly as good as Sam's St. John. Plus they have the kindest staff! Salutations to the cooks and chefs and workers in that restaurant!

Local eatery with good food and service. Decor is like a greasy spoon, but it's a step above that. They give you a bunch of packaged crackers and a tasty garlic butter. My wife ordered the three lobster tails dinner which came with fried shrimp and hush puppies. The lobster was sweet and broiled to perfection. The sides of cheesy grits was a bit too cheesy but tasty, the fried okra was good but also fried. I had the gator tails and they were also good. The prices are reasonable. Worth a try.
