Tonio's Seafood Shack & Tiki Bar

The wings came out hot and perfectly cooked. The skin had that real crisp to it. not soggy, not over-fried, just the right snap when you bite in. The meat was juicy and tender, not dried out or rubbery like you get at a lot of places that rush batches. The sauce actually sticks. That matters. It’s not watery or sliding off. Whether you go classic buffalo, garlic parm, or something sweeter, the flavor is bold without being overwhelming. You can taste layers heat, butter, seasoning instead of just salt and vinegar burn.

This is a great restaurant - fun, welcoming with great food and service. We were visiting from the UK and our friends took us here for dinner. We sat at the bar in the tiki style restaurant. Our 2 servers - Marilyn and Jake were great and took good care of us all night. We had great food - the lobster roll is especially good but all 4 meals were eaten up, as were the delicious desserts. A must visit if you are in the lower Keys.

One of the best in the lower Keys! Definitely our go to because the food is always great & service is always friendly. Not to mention you can’t beat their Thursday night Sushi!

Great service with a smile! We sat in the rocker for 6 and it was perfect for our group. Even got the water pistol to chase the chickens away 😂 We had fish dip, tuna tower and calamari for apps. All delicious and brought out quickly. Water was kept refilled all night without having to ask, which is an excellent indicator of good service to me. Dinners were also delicious and large! Tuna is especially good here. Everyone enjoyed their meal! We’ll be back.

Tonios. Excellent! Food is great whether a simple meal or full dinner. Bartenders treat you like friends. Wait staff is friendly and top notch. Love this place

The setting is beautiful, the bar is pretty and the waterfront tables superb. But the waitress is a horror! I'm not used to being negative but there we really felt like we were disturbing. We arrive at 3:00, 1:00, nothing unusual. It's crowded at the bar, but almost every table in the restaurant is empty. Waitress tells us to get where we want. Not a smile, and barely sitting down, she hands us the card: what do you want! We don’t know much so she waits for the pen in hand planted in front of us and she sighs. In front of the emergency, we quickly take three salad meals that arrive quickly. Nothing terrible, neither good nor hearty... in short, the minimum. While we're eating, the waitress comes by: what else do you want? Uh... I don't know, so I say "nothing, thanks!" So she takes my daughter's cutlery and plate off, then mine. I didn't even have time to put my fork down after the last bite as my plate was already gone! My wife's still eating, she's laying down the bill. Then go back after 2 minutes: it's paid? Well, not yet! My wife is still eating... She comes back 2 minutes later... 6 minutes, 4 passages to know if we had put the money! As a result, between entering the room and leaving: 17 minutes all inclusive! Of course not a smile, just a polite thank you when finally there was the money in the pouch... Count 20 dollars per person for any salad, soda and mandatory tips. But frankly if you want to have a pleasant time, go elsewhere! And the table behind us suffered the same fate...

We went back for an another amazing meal - the crab balls we’re terrific and the stuffed shrimp was outstanding - our server Christy continues to exceed our expectations - she really cares about her customers - we will of course be back :)

When you want peel and eat shrimp it should come out steamed. I was led to believe on another choice I could get beer boiled shrimp. Ok, hot shrimp. Nope, I was informed it is boiled first thing in the morning every day. I was there at 7 pm and was served refridgerated shrimp from that morning. No, this isn't how it works. Few months before, I was there trying some fish dip. It seemed to be mayo and white albacore. not good. Ordered some crab stuffed mushrooms. 3 small ones over baked. Done with food there.

My husband and I were looking forward to eating here but we were disappointed. Since it was an open air place, they allowed smoking. This was the Number 1 issue. We stay away from places that allow smoking. And the food was not flavorful.

All of the fish that 3 of us ordered, was over cooked and very blah and we had to ask for condiments for the fish…. French fries were nothing special and the coleslaw had a weird chemical taste! The atmosphere was nice but very loud and the tables were very close together……
Will not be going back!!!

The food and service were very good. My friend had the cheeseburger with fries and I had the blackened mahi sandwich with saffron rice. Both were yummy!
Tonio's has a great vibe, but be advised they do allow smoking inside, which was a drawback for us, and why we gave the atmosphere 3 stars.

Otherwise it would have been 5!

Server Karen is miserable. Food marginal. Frying oil is old.. basic French fries taste terrible. But, Karen basically ruined the e entire experience.
