Seated right away that's where the good started and ended. Friend ordered sushi, I ordered a bowl of white rice. We shared edamame and had one hot tea. We watched the sushi chef cough on the sushi while making it... As the waiter brought it over, it was explained why it wouldn't be consumed as the chef coughed all over it, the waiter, Carlos, he took it away. He then came back and handed us the bill and said the manager gave us a discount and no point in time did they say would you like us to remake this, can we get you anything else, or anything at all. After that point in time, we also had no pleasantries, no refilling of water. Nothing at all So with tip for a total of $35.05 I had a small bowl of white rice, we shared a small plate of edamame, and one green tea. Don't think we will be back. If a manager was physically present, they most definitely should've come over and spoken with us. If a manager was only on the phone, they should've instructed the employee how to handle the situation. Things happen, we understand that - however, simple statements such as can I get you something else, can I make you something else, I'm so sorry that happened... Would've gone a very long way .

Crystal was singing that night at the entrance of the restaurant. She has the potential to be an award winning singer ?

Imagine a restaurant that should have closed but is hanging on as if it's waiting to star on an episode of Kitchen Nightmares. The food took forever to get to us despite us being the only table at 9pm on a Thursday, they needed to cook more rice and their sake menu didn't match anything they had in stock. Please...avoid this place.

We sat at the exterior bar for a drink, staff was very friendly and the drinks were great. I asked for a non alcoholic drink for my teenage daughter and the bartender came up with a fantastic Bahama Mama mock tail!

If you have a dietary requirement ( in my case Celiac disease ) you are going to be rolling the dice here. My server did not know anything about ( seemingly anything honestly ) and certainly nothing about Gluten Free or Celiac. How is it possible in 2023 for a food server to not know anything related to dietary issues !? And better yet, get visibly angry when I was asking ? Our server was terrible. He made it very clear he didn't want to be there and hated his job. He forgot to put in my order so I got to sit there watching others eat while waiting ( far too long ) for my order to get placed. The manager did take 20% off the bill so thanks for that but our experience here was literally the worst experience of our entire 7 day vacation.Dietary restrictions: If you have a dietary requirement ( in my case Celiac disease ) you are going to be rolling the dice here. The wait staff was fine. The himachi app was ok (too thin), but nothing that's any better than take out places, even slightly worse. We got Nigri which we didn't finish. It was all sushi, no sashimi. The quality was poor. We sent back the salmon which was this dark color that was reminiscent of fish that was old.I've eaten in some of the best sushi places in the US, I've eaten sushi in Japan. I've eaten supermarket sushi and this has gotta be the worst I've had.Avoid the sushi hereParking: Valet parking is the only option. Get your tix validated so it's $10 + tip

BEWARE! Avoid this place at all costs! I stayed at the Trump International Beach Resort in Sunny Isles. When I saw that there was a Japanese restaurant on location, I was so happy. Our last night there we decided to keep it local and made reservations here. BIG MISTAKE! For the prices, I expected top notch food. It was crappy grocery store quality food. We ordered the octopus appetizer, we each had a piece and at the same time and said it wasn't fresh. Tasted like medicine. It was horrible. When I told our waiter he said "that's how they make it". The edamame never came. The chicken appetizer is just fried chicken in sauce, nothing special. The bento box contained contained some type of noodle on top of a bed of rice, a few of the tiniest pieces of fish and a roll. For the price it wasn't worth it. Tasted the same as the prepackaged sushi from the supermarket. The lobster and shrimp hibachi was laughable. The lobster was rubber and the shrimp was the tiny little shrimps you buy at the store that comes frozen in bags. It came with a side of French fries. I laughed. What Japanese restaurant serves hibachi with fries? I asked for a side of white rice. My husband ordered the hibachi steak which was decent. During dinner the fire alarm went off because of a mishap in the kitchen. It got so hot in there that we were all sweating and uncomfortable. It was just a horrible night at this place. Overall, the raw fish isn't fresh, and the hibachi isn't real hibachi. Do your research, read your reviews. Nobody likes food poisoning. And nobody likes paying high prices for supermarket quality food.

Me, my family and my boyfriend stayed at the trump resort Miami for vacation for the Fourth of July. We decided to have dinner here since me, my brother and my boyfriend love Japanese food. The service was very good but the food was a huge exception. Me and my boyfriend ordered the wagyu sushi and chicken fried rice. Our stomach didn't feel so good afterwards, at 2:30-3 am we started throwing up the sushi about a good 5 times. My vacation got completely ruined and turned into a nightmare. I couldn't enjoy most of the food at the trump resort. When I complained to the supervisor he started blaming the other foods I have probably eaten at the trump resort and he never apologized about it. He even told me to complain to front desk and when I did they told me that saka mori is a third party company at the resort. Would not recommend look for somewhere else to eat around the area.
