5-Star Review for Jorge – Exceptional Service

I recently dined at La Doña Seafood & Grill, and I have to say that Jorge made the experience truly outstanding. From the moment we were seated, he greeted us with a warm smile and genuine kindness that immediately set a welcoming tone.

Throughout the meal, Jorge was attentive without being intrusive. He took the time to understand and accommodate our dietary restrictions, making sure every recommendation and detail suited our needs perfectly. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask—refilling drinks, checking in at just the right moments, and making thoughtful menu suggestions that turned out to be delicious.

It’s rare to encounter someone who truly elevates a dining experience, but Jorge did exactly that. His attention to detail, professionalism, and passion for excellent service did not go unnoticed. Thank you, Jorge, for making our evening so enjoyable. We’ll definitely be back—and we’ll be asking for you!

Visited La Dona before heading to the Amerant Center for a show. The restaurant is warmly decorated and we were greeted immediately. The service was prompt and the food was delicious. I appreciate the presentation and the effort put into serving both great presentation and great food. Look forward to returning soon.

TOURIST CATCH. OVERPRICED. NOT RECOMMENDED. I went with my wife last weekend and for sure will not return.
Food: For enchilada suiza and michoacan carnitas and 2 juices with tip, $94. I immediately returned one of the drinks because they were so watered down that was disgusting. Completely overpriced.
Ambiance: the AC was not working and was so hot inside.
Service: this was the only good part. She noticed it was so hot that she brought a fan for my wife.
We complained to the manager. Overall a poor experience.

Great Music; if you like old Spanish music. The food was delicious and the service was top, Jorge was very attentive and the recommendation la made were on point.

We liked the food in general, as the taste was good and very close to the authentic flavors. If you are willing to try authentic mexican food beyond just tacos, this is a good place. Service was excellent: quick and attentive. The place is decorated with a modern style with traditional mexican details. Athmosphere is very good. That said, they lack a Kids Menu (there are not many options for children, not sure if this is intended) and we had the feeling the place is a bit overpriced for what they offer, which is good quality but not great.

An accidental find. We were hungry and decided to pop by for a quick snack. What a surprise ! The food here is delicious and very well presented - it would hold its own in coral gables:) Jorge our waiter was great and that pork belly guacamole he recommended was just unforgettable.

The chocolate cake dessert was also a delight and demolished quickly by the family.

Wish I could come back but sawgrass mills is really kinda far ….

How can a Mexican restaurant serve bad margaritas? This 1 did. Food was good but considered overpriced. Service was marginally acceptable. Pretty sure it was just a bad day

Very good Mexican food with nice portions. Quick and helpful service. Good cocktails.

The service was amazing, the food was good. The dessert churros presentation was amazing. Only thing is they need more AC inside.

Had high expectations for this place. Well decorated and extremely friendly and excellent service. The presentation of the food was also excellent, but I came to eat not just take a picture, for mexican food there was no real flavor to the food which resulted in it being very disappointed especially for the price. Had chicken, shrimp, octopus, ceviche all lacking flavor. The only item which was descent was the fish. Honestly would have better tasting food at a chipotle. Lastly we had dinner on the outside and had a bug issue as others mentioned.

My fiancé and I enjoyed every bit of our experience and we would recommend to anyone, 10/10.

Valentine's Day at this place was a total waste of time and money. Made reservations and when we got there they told us they had a “special” menu for valentines and that the regular menu was not available. This would have been fine if it really was special. A 3 course menu where the appetizer was a choice between chips and what it looked to be canned octopus with onions on top. The main course was either rice, beans and shredded chicken or rice beans and shredded pork. The desert was some merengue pastry you could had found at a gas station. I do have to point out the waitress was nice and she did advised us to LOOK at the menu when we came in however, this is not something you expect from this kind of restaurant. At the end we paid for an expensive valentines dinner for a La Granja meal. This was just lazy and a cheap attempt to increase revenue on Valentine's Day without spending much. Will never come back... garbage
