I didn't care for the pickles, found them a bit too sour, but the jalapeños gave a nice kick. The inside was comfortable and not noisy, so conversation was easy. Silly, maybe, but my favorite was the tootsie roll treats!

Excellent tastes. Surprised at how terrific this meal was. I would or see the burnt ends every night if I were t watching my weight. My husband enjoyed hi sandwich too and he is not a meat eater. Why haven't we heard of this superb Tallahassee restaurant before? This the best food we have had since we moved to Tallahassee at the end of September. We regret that we moving again to be closer to family in Georgia so we only have one or two more times to order this delicious food. We hope that by doing this review at least friends who visit here will try to order from this varied menu. Burnt ends are a Southern delicacy but a good idea would be a sampler that includes the bake beans.

We picked this place while driving our 16 hour trip home from Florida! I cannot say enough about this place! From the friendliness to the environment and did I mention the FOOD!! It was great!! Amongst the 5 of us we had, cornbread, burnt ends, sliced turkey, mac&cheese, collard greens, baked beans, and oh mane.... Baked cheese grits???, who knew!! Did I forget to mention the dessert choices??? Well it just so happens I took a pic of the dessert spread and sent it to my son with the comment "look at these sins!"

Very very tasty, you absolutely can't go wrong with 4 Rivers. It's solid barbecue and is actually a great option for catering events! The workers are not overly friendly but that isn't a huge deal, the food is solid. It is a little pricey, I will say that. But if you're looking for barbecue, this is a pretty good choice.

Add that to a massive case of the Mondays where neither of us felt very domestic et voilà. It was admittedly expected given all this backstory.Anyhow, we made it with half an hour to spare. We chose to split a full rack of ribs and some sides. The sides we chose were the macaroni and cheese, the green beans, and the French fries. The side were whatever.The cheese in the macaroni tasted bland, the green beans were flavored decently but no amount of flavor could get me to love them, and the French fries could've been hotter. Still, the ribs were on point, just falling off the bone. Consider the two desserts we bought (i.e., the chocolate chip cookie and the blueberry cheesecake) and we were happy campers.Enjoy this chain quite a bit. Probably my preferred for BBQ. Still, it's a once in a blue moon deal. The food is just so horribly fattening.

First time visit at 11:30 on a Friday morning for a takeout order. I was fourth in line and line moved quickly. Two employees taking orders and one person staffed the cash register. I ordered two pulled pork sandwiches and cole slaw to go. I thought the slaw was average, but my partner and I really liked the pulled pork sandwiches. I thought the spicy sauce was much better than the regular sauce. I will visit again.
You won't go wrong at 4 Rivers. The baked beans are worth the trip themselves. I had the lean brisket. Thick cut, perfectly tender. Only two bbq sauce options but honestly it's all you need. Pure smokey goodness. Definitely do the bread pudding. 5* = incredible (rare)4* = very good/ strong desire to return3* = generally good experience 2* = poor/ no desire to return 1* = a particularly awful experience

Some friends and family gathered for a birthday celebration at 4 Rivers. It was the first time eating there for half of us. The food was excellent and the portions generous. The fried okra was a tad salty for our tastes for those of us who had it. My niece loved the fact that none of her food touched each other!The greatest surprise for me was the Cheerwine!So a good evening of food, fellowship and Cheerwine.Did I mention the Cheerwine???

Craving some good Bbq so we decided to give this place a try. Go up to the counter and they prepare your food in front of you. Staff was not all that welcoming and some seemed confused as to what they were supposed to be doing. Food was good portions, nice side choices and loved the flavor of their bbq sauces. Had to wait an extra five minutes or so for one of our sandwiches. It was delivered to our table and the server never apologized for the wait. The restaurant was clean and comfortable, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Would be willing to give this place another try or even one of their other locations.

We did an UberEats order one night while visiting Tallahassee / FSU.The meat was juicy and not dry (even after being ordered via car), and the bbq sauce with the non-stale bread, makes it a winning BBQ sandwich.The sweet potato casserole is a solid side choice, though not the best I've had.... and same with the green beans!A good choice if you're looking for some decent BBQ in the Tallahassee area.
