Went here for a first date. It was actually perfect. We sat outside under a big tree near the water. The tables were spaced far apart, so it felt pretty private. We were maybe like fifteen feet from the trail that goes around the lake. People would walked by every now and then. There are tons of ducks. The sun sets across the water, so it's very pretty in the evening.

I recently visited the Black Dog Cafe at 229 Lake Ella Dr, in Tallahassee, FL. I enjoyed my experience having a breakfast at this place. The decor is a little eclectic maybe but very homey. I went to the register and the very nice person helped me with some questions and I had a breakfast bar with coffee. Both were very good. Thanks

Supercute spot with decent indoor seating and a variety of delightful outdoor seating close to a lake. All under a big ol' mindflayer tree draped in Spanish moss. Love and consideration have clearly been put into this original location.
Coffee was nice, bagel was tasty, and novelty merch was poppin. Staff was very efficient. Will definitely return when next i'm in town!

If you have 30 min to spare and wait a cheese slice to slowly melt, this is your place ! great place to reset . Some cakes and bites apart from bagel with spread options. Not a breakfast place.
