This place is wonderful!!! The coffee is yummy and refreshing, the workers are the kindest people ever, and the atmosphere is great. It is dimly lit, quiet, and a pretty good spot if you have a class on zoom and need somewhere to go. This is probably my favorite spot on campus :)
Power goes out in my office.... needed a quiet place (in air conditioning) to do a little work. This hidden gem was perfect! People are friendly, cold brew was good, and the inside was as peaceful as could be for having 10 well-spaced patrons. A definite step up from the places I was considering to get some work done.
I love Calvin’s so much!! It’s so convenient to my building (I’m a grad student in criminology — Eppes building), and the prices are better than the nearby Dunkin and Starbucks. It’s also a really relaxing place to work on research or read :) On Thursday’s they have open mic nights with great music, comedy, and poetry!
