I cannot say enough positive things about Catering Capers. They were generous sponsors of Leon Football this year, providing several high-quality and delicious meals for our football players. We decided to hire them to cater our 175+ football banquet at the Woman's Club, and they did a phenomenal job. I appreciated their willingness to work within our budget without sacrificing food or service. The servers on the evening of the event were equally pleasant and helpful. Additionally, Catering Capers catered the Hill Spooner & Elliott, Inc. Real Estate Christmas party this year. The menu and presentation were beautiful. They came to the rescue of a seminar that I was at in Tallahassee after another caterer did not show up. They put together a beautiful lunch spread for hundreds of people with less than two hours notice. All the food was delicious. You would’ve had no idea they had so little time to prepare. If this is what they do on short notice, I would love to see what they do when they have actual prep time.

We had a small wedding for my daughter at a private home and the Catering Capers staff was exceptional! From first arrival through departure they respected the kitchen space, were prompt in serving everyone and the food was amazing! Highly recommend the lobster shooters and the grits appetizer. The Coq au Vin stood out for everyone and we enjoyed the left-overs the next night with the family. Thank you for helping make this a special day!

This will be a detailed posting. I hire based on reviews when I don't know the company. This company came highly recommended by several clients and, after reading the reviews, I hired them to cater my small wedding this past weekend.
The Good: The food was superb. It's innovative, creative and very tasty. Chef Justin received many, many compliments from my guests. The servers were punctual, polite and professional.
The Bad: They had to be asked multiple times to place the linen on the main table so the cake, florist and photographer could finish what they needed. I finally had to come out from dressing to tell them to get that done.
On reporting this to the sales manager, she advised we didn't reserve linens (we did) from a conversation she remembered. I sent the estimate showing rental of six linens and the cost. No response back. The attitude was testy and drew the line of politeness thinly.
We had ordered 12 different appetizers and planned on my husband and I eating after the wedding. When we came in, all the food was gone, not left for us. They had packed everything up and put it in the van. I asked why. She offered to bring in a care package that had 10 pieces.
On advising the sales person of this, she indicated the servers told her there was very little food left. But I had two ladies staying with the cake on the same table, and they indicated otherwise; that there was plenty to be left for my husband and I. The sale manager reported her employees told them only a few tired fruit pieces and crab stuffed mushrooms were left, but the care package she brought in had all the other stuff as well. So, I'm not sure who to believe at this point.
We paid $3000 for the catering and ended up eating 10 pieces and then a sandwich post wedding, which neither of us were happy about.
I would hire them again, but would make sure I had a person there to supervise and make sure all the food stayed. Also, tell the servers on arrival that all the food stayed.
We also kept getting "review your estimate and pay" notifications by email up to two days before the wedding which was very annoying as we had paid the deposit and the balance five weeks before the wedding.
So, to close, I would hire them again with some caveats. And hopefully future brides/party givers will read this and act accordingly.

Months before the wedding, they put together a menu for us and invited us to a very nice and intimate tasting so we could sample the food being served at our wedding. It was love at first bite! The food the day of the wedding was no different. Everyone was raving about it! We had people tell us it was the best wedding food they’ve ever had. Everything tasted so fresh and flavorful! The caterers were also very attentive to us, making sure we had everything we needed throughout dinner. They even made sure to send us home with a box of our favorite appetizers afterwards! We highly recommend Catering Capers for your next event. You, your guests, and their tastebuds will thank us later!
