Great Food, great price. Lunch menu price is really good ?. Ample parking and convenience location in town. By the way, it is under new ownership, and the restaurant name is PEONY RIVER. Can do dine in or take out.
I was in from out of town and it was near my hotel. I detest low quality bland mucky chinese, usually 1/2 onion and corn starch but I was very pleased with the fresh spicy food. My 17 year old son and I split an order of pan seared dumplings and a order of mongolian beef. I could taste the fresh ground 5 spice and enough heat the rice bowl was empty.
I arrived with several bags during a layover for the grayhound. The waiting staff was excellent, arranging for a table large enough for the bags. The eggplant with garlic tasted just like how I remember from Shanghai, and arrived within 5-10 minutes. Menu was bilingual and authentic (4 different styles of eggplant -garlic/sliced pork/minced pork/Sichuan) and most customers were students or teachers speaking Mandarin, which is always a good sign.
