Food was good…not great. Went on a Thursday night, it was pretty busy. Was told before ordering that there was going to be a 45 minute wait on Sushi because they only had one person preparing Sushi…got the Sushi 1.5 hrs after receiving appetizers.

Omg!!!! I'm visiting and came to this restaurant two nights in a row and got the SAME thing!!!! The food is absolutely immaculate!!!! I had the ribeye, mashed potatoes and asparagus!!! Brylee was our server both nights and she did amazing job! Quick and very kind! I graduated from FAMU and look forward to coming back during homecoming. This is my new favorite place in Tallahassee! I look forward to trying the spot in Destin! The ambiance was very nice and chill. Definitely a great spot for a date or just a dinner.

I was in Tallahassee on a Friday evening and decided to look for a place to have dinner. I found chucks fish here on yelp and I figured in a college town that not too many kids would be at this upscale restaurant. Wrong!! I was surprised and maybe disappointed by the 30 minute wait but I figured that all these people can't be wrong. Glad I waited!! We ordered a sushi appetizer and it looked as good as it tasted. Also had a fried oysters appetizer and I was really pleasantly surprised by the amount of oysters on the plate. Could have been dinner. At that point we decided to share one dinner and so we ordered one of the daily specials which was redfish. When we told the waitress we were sharing, she had the kitchen split the plate and so we each had a half portion. Nice touch. This restaurant will not be found in the cheap eats section of your google search, but deserves a try anyway. BTW. I was able to find on the street metered parking very easily. I would definitely go back.

Absolutely amazing sushi! The fish of the day (the red snapper) was amazing as well and seasoned to perfection.

Well, it was unfortunate. We made a reservation for 15 at 7pm. If they didn't staff to serve a party like that they shouldn't have taken the reservation. We waited over 3 hrs for our food. At 7:00 they were already out of all non-fried shrimp. The service was only fair. If they had apologized, offered free apps for the table, something - but in the end the 18% gratuity was already added and the food is very expensive. To be fair the food tasted great. But 3 hours for some who got a cheeseburger and some who got 8 small pieces of sushi, it just ruined it when in the end you pay an exorbitant bill.

Their chicken scaloppine was one of the best dishes I've ever had. And I got it to go!

We made a reservation for tonight and we were inquisitive about this place as we'd never been before. We were greeted by a friendly host staff, and they had our table ready, which was very nice. Almost immediately, we were greeted by our server, who took our drink orders and our appetizer order. We ordered the calamari and were blown away - it's easily the best calamari we've ever had! Next, we ordered rolls. They were good, but lacked a little seasoning. The soy sauce and wasabi helped. They weren't terrible at all, but lacked a little of the extra flavors we're used to from traditional sushi restaurants. For dessert (no picture obtained) we ordered the bread pudding. Again, excellent. We're so glad we ventured out and tried Chuck's! We'll definitely be back again in the future.

Just meh, unfortunately. A lot of money for the quality of the product. To start they were out of two of their best menu items (stuffed shrimp and crab cakes), which seems ridiculous for 6:30 on a Saturday night during session in Tallahassee. The calamari app was overcooked with too much sauce. The risotto which accompanied the fish was not good at all. The black grouper was delicious, but then that is hard to screw up. The bread pudding was a delicious dessert. Service was excellent, and I like the way they’ve redone the building since taking ownership. Overall disappointed for the cost and my own expectations.
