Although my veteran friend and I were informed we could get a free blizzard at Dairy Queen for Veterans Day, and out of all the places we were aware of the freebies yesterday this was the only place that just flat out told us no.

Subpar dairy queen. The last two times I have been here, weeks apart, my blizzard was mixed halfway. Got halfway down and nothing but vanilla the whole way. Either poor training or the employees just don’t care. Not sure when the blizzards starting coming with some assembly required

So I roll up to Dairy Queen, craving a simple Blizzard and a little peace in my day. I hand the lady my card — normal transaction, right? WRONG. She hands it back with a paper to sign (which, by the way, I’ve never had to do at a drive-thru in my entire life). I didn’t realize there was a pen hiding in there, so I just reached for the paper.

This woman — and I quote — says, “Girl, I don’t have extendo arms.”

EXTENDO. ARMS.
Ma’am, I was not prepared to be verbally attacked in the Dairy Queen drive-thru for not being Inspector Gadget.

Then she slams the window in my face like she just finished the final scene of a soap opera. Comes back a minute later with an attitude so strong it could curdle the soft serve. Hands me my Blizzard, doesn’t flip it (which is literally their one moment of pride), and just walks away like I’m invisible.

At that point I was waiting for a hidden camera crew to pop out, because surely no one’s this dramatic over a signature receipt. The whole experience was unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly kind of iconic in how bad it was.

If you’re craving a side of attitude with your ice cream, this is the spot. Otherwise, save yourself the emotional damage and go anywhere

I was treated horribly by the staff at this restaurant and I am so disappointed in both Dean, the shift supervisor, and the staff who was working! The employee at the store rushed me over the mic by repeatedly saying what would you like as soon as I could get to mic and say again. She got my order incorrect and then SNATCHED the fry’s she mistakenly put on my receipt and gave me the wrong drink. I had to come back and get the correct drink I ordered the first time and the employee slammed the window in my face and said I needed to get out of her drive thru. I had to call the manager to correct my order and then he didn’t even give me exact change! Called the store back to talk to franchise owner and the employee pretended to be him and mocked me. Got ahold of the franchise owner, Dean, and he did nothing! DO NOT GO HERE!

9/4/25 in drive thur from 12:07 - 12:23 still have not over line was not packed with only two vehicles in front of me before the menu board lunch time service is snail slow beyond slow please take the fast food off the building don't seem possible at this establishment 12:25 still waiting at the menu board, I be with you in a second stop you guys are not that , with 2 employees always trying to run the lunch rush (insane ) get you guys two more people in the kitchen y'all would not be moving that slow this was my second chance for you guys ,never again this one made me hate all the Dq's

Been there multiple times now and every time it’s the same rude employees. Today’s experience was the worst for the fact that the lady running the drive through gave attitude and started swearing. Super rude employees and I hope the manager sees this and does something about this.

First time i've been to dairy queen in over fifteen years. This was a very clean and well run restaurant. I ordered a milkshake, I should say a blizzard which was extremely tasty!

Went in on 7/31, where an older guy who appeared to be the store manager/Owner, was very rude!!!! Claimed i couldn’t redeem my points because of a small mistake HE made, and then blamed it on one of his associates!!! Tried to make it appear as if i was effecting the other customers in the store, but they had already placed their orders and received their food. Claimed that the rewards can only be redeemed in app, but there’s CLEARLY an option to redeem in store!!

I was coming to give a big shout to the DQ at 2227 N Monroe St because my family and I visit quite often and the staff here always so nice. We have never had any issues with the food or the service. I am very disturbed by a review that i just read that was penned by Ms. Q Carter because i remember the Sunday in question because my wife and I were behind Ms Carter in the drive thru and we both remember her because she was screaming at the lady in question, but the tap she claimed she did with her umbrella was quite a bit more because she broke her umbrella and almost broke the window. They closed the window because of the profanity that was being hurled at them by Ms Carter my wife was in the process of calling 911 for the employees but she pulled off. when we got to the window we made sure that the employees did not need the police and we tipped them all for keeping thier cool and how they handled her, we are local business owners and we are also black, it is so disturbing that someone in this day and age with everything going on in the world would stoop so low as to use the race card SHAME ON YOU Ms Carter. Thank you DQ on N Monroe for ALWAYS treating me and my family just like family. We will always be faithful customers at this location because of this, Keep up the good work.
