Expensive but fun. They need a baby changing station in the main bathroom but I was told there's one over in the bar bathroom.
Just left everything was great until the waiter that was serving us decided to give herself an extra tip on top of the gratuity charge and be slick about it smh, make sure once you put that card in the machine that it stays in your hand until that transaction is completed. It’s so funny because I was actually going to give her a bigger tip smh done missed your blessings!
Unfortunately I didn’t want to give this place a 1 star rating. Today I paid $2500 for a vip lounge and laser tag bundle, we enjoyed everything but when we went and played the arcade games the manger and 3 other employees didn’t have any sense of respect. We tried cashing in our tickets but for some reason some tickets were not viable on their end. I understand there are system issues and what not but when you are spending a good amount of money and they disrespect you for $20 we have a problem. I hope the manger sees this and changes his staff immediately.
Update:
Returned with my family and I hoped that this place would have gotten better but it’s unfortunate that it hasn’t. This place is run down and has horrible management, I tried to give it a chance but the staff has to go!!!!!
We hosted our daughter’s 13th birthday in the hyper lounge and could not have asked for a better experience. Kerin, Latoya, Vanique, and Bella provided exceptional service from start to finish. Everyone had a blast. I loved that we were able to customize the playlist and decorate the room a bit. I’d be hard pressed to find a better venue and experience. Highly recommend for team building events, parties, etc. Thanks to District 850 for a memorable event!
Family friendly place
Let me start with the positive. Our server while we bowled was Jacob and he was wonderful. Kind, courteous and funny.
Now the unpleasant part. The cost to bowl here is ridiculous! We were also thinking of doing the escape room but the manager looked at us like we had 3 heads for questioning the cost of that as well. $35/person for a HALF HOUR. We could have seen more of a value had it been for an hour.
While we were bowling, the pins malfunctioned and it took them 8 minutes to fix. When we brought this up and asked to get that time back they claimed the manager would only add 5 minutes back on. It wasn't necessarily about the 3 minutes but more of how we were treated. I would never recommend this place. Horrible experience other than Jacob. Jacob rocked!
The games, bowling, ax throwing, and arcade games were all fun. The only issue we had was with the servers. We bowled for 2 hours, during that time, we went up to the bar 3 times and asked for a server at our lane, they kept saying someone would be right over and no one ever showed. we did see them serving the lanes around us. And even the new groups showing up in neighboring lanes. We went to the restaurant after bowling since the server never came after several requests. after we seated we were told to scan QR codes for the menu, we told the guy we already knew what we wanted (since we looked at the menu while bowling) and he proceeded to walk away and never came back. He had his phone out standing around the bar, no drinks or anything. After about 15 mins, I Went to the manager and asked for a server for the 4th time in over 2 hours and finally got our order taken. I’d like to add that the place was not busy at all, 2 other lanes and 1 table were active at the time. this was our first experience here so it was a bit frustrating. Would love to go back to district 850 but I’d have very low expectations for restaurant service, more attentive and reliable servers would have made this experience way more enjoyable.
Do not eat here the food is not good. Just play games and leave. The alcoholic drinks are small and it’s just not a good place. Dave and busters is way better
Just had a pretty bad experience with the bowling here. We paid nearly $100 for a lane for 6 people and shoes, which is already ridiculous when you can get the exact same experience at FSU for less than $10 per person and less if you’re a student. Then we had an error with our bowling lane, no worries at first, but our bowling timer went down about 7-8 minutes because of the error. After it was fixed we tracked down the guy who fixed it and let him know and were met with nothing but rudeness. He said “are you sure” and “I don’t think so” then he went to tell his manager and came back and told us “the best we can do is 5 minutes”. We let him know we lost 7 and he doubled down and said no. Never once did ANYONE apologize for the inconvenience, we got less time than we lost when if anything we should’ve got more because THEY messed up. For the absolutely absurd amount they charge, the customer service was horrendous. Unkind, unhelpful, and plain rude.
Our server, Jacob, earns this place 2 stars. He was great and attentive.
I brought in a small homemade cake for my 41 year old daughter who is vegan, the manager abruptly told me I could not bring it in and it needed to be taken out immediately I told her when my daughter arrives I will give it to her and she can take it out. The manager stood closely by until this happened. In spite of this ridiculous rule, we spent $177.00 in the bar on food and drinks and an additional $169.00 for 2 games of bowling and shoes. All because I brought my own homemade cake for my daughter was I made to feel unwelcome!
Restaurantji Recommends
Great place to socialize in town. Ambience is great as well.
Great service, definitely recommend!
This is the second time that I have patronized this establishment for a birthday celebration. I don’t understand why when I come to District 850 that I encounter rudeness. The first time I celebrated a birthday and booked a party. Everything was great until I ordered a drink and it was not made according to the menu. I told the bartender that I would like a different drink but was still going to pay for the one I ordered. The bar manager was very rude to me in front of several customers. The manager came and apologized for the bar managers behavior. Four years later I contacted District 850 because I am recovering from surgery and not able to book a party this year. If I could bring a couple of friends and bring a cake to celebrate my son’s birthday. I was told I could but could not bring a cake but could bring 2 balloons. I came and before I could sit down with my crutches. I was asked if I brought a cake and I responded no, as I was told I could not bring one. No hello, or thank you for coming. She followed her line of questioning with how many people are coming? I responded about 15 people but they are coming at different times and leaving. I’m assuming she was the manager. She responded that if it’s 15 or more people, that I would have to make a reservation. At this point, I’m looking at her side ways as the restaurant did not have many people there and the bar was empty. We sat and 15 minutes she came over and apologized that no had been over to serve us and that someone would be with us shortly. I spent more money at this establishment than if I had booked a birthday party and was treated as though I was trying to steal something. I’ve been to this establishment over the years and it used to be great when they first started out but it has been a hit or miss for the times I have tried to come and enjoy my time there. The food would be great but then the employees are rude. Or the employees can be great and then the food is not good. It would be nice to come there and actually have a good time with great food and good service. My guests noticed the unfair treatment and I was embarrassed. It’s a nice place to come and hang out but I don’t think I will be booking anything else at District 850. They don’t know how to treat their customers.
Very long wait in line even though all the registers were open. Drinks were great. Kids had a blast. The manager gives me creeper vibes, watching young girls after checkout. 😝
Yesterday, I went and yes the arcade games are fun and enjoyed them a lot. But I payed for escape room that doesnt even work properly. First, off there was rocks that spelled out AGONY and combing them would give us a code, but some of the rocks didnt even have numbers. After we realized that, the host gave us the code to everything and still none of the locks opened. The host got tired and just told us how to get out. Why have an attraction up if it doesnt even work properly.
