I moved out of the city so I haven't been in over 7 years. I expected to see familiar faces. Mr Taylor must not have any involvement with it any more because Dog et Al has definitely taken a serious fall from grace. Nothing was the same! To the new ownership, seek out Mr. Taylor or anyone that was involved before you took over and get this place back to its glory days.

The Coke was cold as were the fries and Chicago hot dog, This was at 11:00 am when I thought everything would be best prepared. I think the fries and hot dog would have tasted better if they were hot, but they were cold. Maybe that was why the service was so quick because they forgot to heat the hot dog and fries. The Chicago condiments were good, but the rest was, cold.I expected better for the price. 1/2 star is not an option.

It's been a while since I visited this restaurant and it is obviously under different ownership. I wanted my son to experience it so we dropped by 3/14/24 just after lunch. I ordered my regular, hotdog, homemade chips, apple pie and drink. This used to be a meal deal. Came to just under $10 so big increase in cost. We waited in the dining room with a few other diners for around 20 minutes. Not the fast meal it used to be. When I got my meal, the homemade chips were missing. I was told they were out, could make some more but it would be a while. Since I paid for them I said sure, go ahead. All in all, we waited over 40 minutes before leaving, no chips were ever seen. No apology from any of the three working behind the counter, just a shrug of the shoulders. The hotdog was not near as crisp as I remember it and the apple pie, that used to be hot and crispy, was lukewarm and soft, probably warmed in a microwave. Overpriced, slow, and under par for what this place used to be. There is memorabilia all around the dining room, offering diners to recall past acclaim. Skip the memorabilia and just live up to the name. They are working on one at Bannerman Crossing. They'll need to up their game with the restaurants in that area. I wont go again just to be ripped off.

The hot dogs are great, they run out of chilli often. But still worth going.

Best hot dog place in town! They have a great selection of sizes and types of hot dogs with a good spread of condiments available. Their fries are of the starchy variety, so if you don't love that, I'd recommend getting onion rings. As a southerner, I always put a lot of weight into the quality of the sweet tea, and theirs is wonderful! I'd certainly recommend this place to any hotdog lovers, and I fully intend on visiting again!

Food is yummy and fresh- homemade items like lemonade, fried apple pies, fresh cut French fries, etc. The staff is quite friendly. The reason for 3 stars- The hours are limited so the last three out of four times we thought to eat there, they were closed after 5. For the number of people working/hanging out after they served us, they could be cleaning up in the dining area. It is pretty dirty but the place is also old. Lots of repairs needed that would help appearance and cleanliness but that’s on management/owners. Just seems like it could be a cute, retro place to eat but no one is maximizing the potential. Dog et Al has a following- take advantage!

Old School Hot Dog & Hamburger Joint that totally rocks.. Burgers hand patted and fresh. Fries are sliced raw potato style and very good.. They also have homemade potato chips but i didn't try them.. My coney dog was spot on with Mustard Chili and Onions.. If you are hungry order the footlong! Service is a little slow for a fast food place but the quality of the food makes up for any wait.. I went on the day before Christmas Eve and School was out and State offices were closed so it wasn't as crowded as I have heard it gets! I Highly recommend!

Awesome hot dogs and you can actually get a combo for less than $10. Their fries are legit too.

I love this place and keep giving them a shot but it's kinda sad. I was the first customer today and the trays were very greasy already. Cleanliness is basic to a business. The hot dogs and sauerkraut were barely warm. The bun was soft but not warm. I was hoping for a hot, hot dog she's hot sauerkraut. Please, please get it together. I don't want to lose a good hot dog place. Service was nice. Young folks with friendly faces willing to help.

The service was a little slower than I’m used to but the food was really good! The fries weren’t piping hot but like I said they were kinda busy. I will always eat there!FYI…I wanted to tag y’all on FB and Instagram but it doesn’t find your location.

Dog Et Al catered a huge event at my church. I am the event director, and they were extremely easy to work with, on time, the food was excellent, and their staff was friendly and efficient. Don't hesitate to have them cater your next event!

We checked online and saw the restaurant listed as open. We used their online ordering so it would be ready when we got there. Their online ordering took our order and accepted our payment with tip. However, when we got there, the parking lot had several cars sitting with a lot of confused people, some looking in the windows. The restaurant was not open as shown with no explanation. I can only hope we can get our payment back easily and will be canceling the account we set up with them.

I love a good Ole fashion burger and dog spot and this place fits the bill perfectly. Now just need to convince them to do late night takeout. The food is good, staff is better, don't miss this place for lunch.

Been going for years. Won't be back, ever.If the food gets any smaller, you will just have to pay $13 to look at a picture of a hot dog and a potato chip.My most recent trip was dismal. No greeting, blank stare from super young girl working the line. Bare minimum super skimpy toppings on the sausage dog. Very few chips in the chip container. No plastic ware available without asking.Too bad, this place was awesome when the old fella still ran it and had several good operators since. Not anymore.
