Everything about this place is fantastic. I don’t want to say too much, other than if you haven’t been, you need to. The food is fantastic. Genuinely delicious items. The waitstaff is always kind and super attentive, and very respectful. The drinks are yummy, and the ambience of the restaurant is good. Very fun time and I always look forward to coming back. The price point is a little bit high for a college student budget, but I think that’s intended when you look at the audience. The food is well worth it, and I can’t wait to go back!

We had a wonderful meal here tonight. As always, the tacos were amazing. Don't miss out on the chile relleno taco! ?Our server was so sweet and gave us lots of attention. It's clear they really want you to have a great dining experience.

El Cocinero has a fantastic vibe! The outdoor seating is wonderful on a nice day. The service was very friendly. The tacos are pricey, but very delicious. I got the Carnitas corn taco and a buffalo cauliflower corn taco. Both were highly recommended to me and they did not disappoint! The salsa, guacamole, and queso fundido were all amazing. The salsa was very refreshing. The queso was thick and creamy.

Wow do we love El Cocinero! We try to go every time we are in Tallahassee. Amazing cocktails (I highly recommend the spicy Paloma) and fantastic (& creative) tacos. I love being able to sit outside. We always have super friendly servers as well. Definitely try El Cocinero!

I want to start off saying I usually have a great experience here but this was one of the worst dining experiences I ever had. I walked in at 9:10, the food and service was absolutely terrible. They threw a bowl of chips with literally 10 chips, gave me appetizer with no plates. Ordered fajita quesadilla, they gave me shredded chicken when asked regarding they re-made soggy fajitas with un-cooked vegetables. While we are eating, dropped bill, and to go boxes. Literally got nauseous and disgusted. While we were talking to waitress she just walked away without even listening to our concern. Food isn’t free, there’s no need to be treated this way.

The restaurant is located on the north side of Midtown in a new building. We found the restaurant, no problem. Parking, however, was baffling. There seemed to be limited parking at the restaurant, so we ended up walking up from the Redeye coffee shop. The atmosphere was really pleasant outside. Sails provide shade on the south side of the building, from where we sat traffic noise wasn't anything we noticed. We enjoyed the food. It was not the run of the mill presentation. The portions were good, and the price was right.

Taco place with no fish tacos.....hmm. Sunday brunch menu till 3 :(.....l $16 breakfast burrito that's filled with 90% corn tortilla and heavy tomato sauce. They were out of Bloody Mary's on a Sunday. Serious? Not a fan sorry. Should have know when we got here and it only had 1 table with patrons.

Giving El Cocinero 3 stars solely based off food quality and cocktails they make. When this place first opened up it was phenomenal food but ever since Covid this place has never been the same again. For starters you guys are a taco and tequila restaurant and sadly your signature El Concinero margarita (priced at $13) tastes bitter. Not sure what kind of sour mix they are using but it's awful. For an appetizer I got the Elote and it was the best part of my meal. Unfortunately my tacos left a lot to be desired. The carnitas tacos are dry. No hot sauce, salsa or anything! The shrimp tacos are okay. There's nothing special or exciting about this place and honestly I feel the owner needs to humble themselves and go talk to the Tally Taco truck and get advice on how to make better tacos. Going to skip out on this place for a while. If I want to have cocktails in the heart of midtown I'll go next door to Table 23. Customer service is a 7/10. Waitress seemed annoyed with me and honestly that's the college students for you as far as service goes. Food is 6/10. This place needs help. So much great potential wasted.

These were the best tacos I have EVER had. The Al pastor tacos were so delicious- my only regret was not ordering more. The ambiance in here was also a really chill vibe.
