“Great food, but the pricing and tipping setup need work
My son and I stopped in for lunch at the FIVE GUYS in Midtown Tallahassee (Thomasville Rd), and the food did not disappoint. We both ordered large bacon cheeseburgers—mine loaded with all the condiments, his completely dry—and both were fantastic. The fries were also delicious, and I appreciated the free peanuts at the table while we waited for our made-to-order meals.
That said, while the food easily deserves 5 stars, the overall experience falls a bit short. The pricing is on the high side (2 burgers, one order of fries, and two drinks), and the tipping prompt at the register felt a little out of place considering you're placing and picking up your own order. Still, the quality of the food and quick service made it a worthwhile visit.“
“WATCH OUT both Five Guys in town are on Thomasville Road. Also, watch out for their fries: however much you think they'll give you, it's more. (I actually had to move the loose fries in the bag to make sure my burger was there.)“
