My latina heart was so happy when I found this restaurant while on a work trip thinking the food would be amazing but I was so wrong. I ordered the ropa vieja and morro with plantains and a side of toasted bread. The bread was okay although not authentic cuban, but my main entree was horrible! My rice was sticky, overcooked and stringy as if it had cheese mixed in it and smelled like pure vinegar. The ropa vieja was bitter and tasted like vinegar also. I also ordered a dulce de leche cheesecake and that was okay, although very sweet and rich. Needles to say I had to Uber Eats from a different restaurant .

This place is a dump. The building is a dilapidated old house, the floors are uneven, the walls are full of holes, and the tables are barely standing. But, Lord help me, I will be back! The food at Gordo’s is off the charts. Their Cubano is insanely good. The wait staff is friendly snd welcoming. If you find yourself in Tallahassee, you are only hurting yourself if you don’t eat at Gordo’s.

Food is always excellent. A little hiccup with my to-go order today but they were able to correct it quickly. My only advice would be is to ensure that when someone picks up a to-go order that it's actually theirs. Apparently mine was given to somebody else. Are we at least checking names? It was not a doordash or Uber eats. It was actually done through your website. Otherwise always great. From gordo's

Pros: The Cuban sandwich was great, it was my first time. The service was great.
Cons: Fries were really salty. Bean empanada was nasty, tasted sour. The building is kinds strange. You park in the back in a gravel parking lot and enter in the back door. People might be out there loitering or on a smoke break.

We were not greeted at our table for 25 minutes. The Gordos Burger I got had a burnt hotdog bun. It was very frustrating and disappointing. They also barely bussed and cleaned our table from the last party. I do not recommend going here, even on a Sunday night when they aren’t busy!!!!!!
