Left seated in an empty section for nearly 10 mins. Waiters walked by without checking on me or saying anything regarding a wait. Disappointed with the lack of service. Good luck to anyone who does get service. I’ll never recommend this place.

I ordered the Picadollo for lunch and it was good. There are plenty of other options I’d like to try.

Parking: Parking in the plaza can get pretty full during busy hours. There is other parking lots around for use.

Awful service. I called in an order for pickup and they told me it would be ready in 20-25 minutes. By the time I was handed my order it had been an hour. Not to mention the girl at the front desk was very rude and told me it was “not her job” to check on what is going on in the kitchen. As for the food, it was awful. The chicken was so tough I couldn’t eat it, there was a hair in my food and they forgot to give me my plantains. Luckily I checked the box before leaving and informed them that my plantains were missing. All in all, not worth the money, time or stress.

Starter Thursday! Croquetas, Empanadas sampler, Cuban sliders, red beans and rice, and the most famous of them all….Gordos sauce! All excellent!

I was pleasantly surprised with this Cuban fusion style restaurant. My favorite thing I ate was the bean empanada with Gordo Sauce. The croquetas were also delicious. I had the Gordos Shicken Wrap for dinner. I really enjoyed it, especially topping it with Gordos Sauce. I see why everyone I asked recommended the sauce. I'm not sure what it is, but it was good. I would definitely return and try something new because there were many items that intrigued me. Our server was nice and attentive.

As a lifelong Cuban, I've grown up with Cuban cuisine. While I believe there's always room for improvement, Gordo's is certainly a standout Cuban restaurant in Tallahassee. I've dined there five times and have consistently been impressed by the quality of their food and service. Their dishes evoke the flavors of my mom and abuela's cooking, which is why I keep coming back. I highly recommend their white rice and black beans, lechon asado, ropa vieja, or masitas de cerdo. Their yuca frita and flan are also delicious. In short, Gordo's offers authentic Cuban fare. Si es comida Cubana!

We ordered two Arroz con pollo , food was good PORTION was not $30 Total does not match the portion size ….

We came in from out of town this weekend looking for good Cuban food and stopped here. That was the biggest mistake we made. The food was like warm and my sons was cold. We all got extreme food poisoning. It’s two days later and we are still feeling the effects. I don’t know if the food was old or left out and it got bad but o would not take a chance eating here. I hope a food inspector visits this place.

I simply came to eat here to have a Cuban coffee… well there was no coffee… a Cuban restaurant cannot be a Cuban restaurant if it does not have coffee…

What is missing is the tropical shakes (batidos), i.e. Mamey, guanabana, etc. Otherwise, I would have given them a 5 star rating

went to visit my daughter in Tallahassee, and we went out to this restaurant...O.M.G!! food was incredible.

Parking: 5 to 10 ft from the restaurant.
