Great American Cookies

I am very disappointed in GAC. I have been a loyal customer for years. I even have the app on my phone. I went in today to order cookies for my annual Christmas party. I was absolutely devastated to find our the manager had been fired while she's dealing with a family medical issue. I will be going to publix before I give this horrible establishment another penny of my money. ABSOLUTELY A DISGRACE!!!

We usually get cookie cakes a few times a year, my husband prefers cookie over cake. The staff is friendly enough when we place orders, but the manager is consistently unpleasant. I was told off last time for only ordering one week in advance - she refused to do the order for the next week and we had to pick up the following week (my husband still wanted it 🙄). While I understand sometimes extras will cost extra, or pre orders may take longer **the website lets you order and pick up an hour later** 🤷‍♀️ If my kid hadn't insisted on a cookie cake for his party, I wouldn't have ordered again...

A little over a week ago, we picked up a cookie cake for our kid's birthday. The large round we ordered this time cost about $48 and change. We ordered well in advance, and they upcharged for frosting - $4 for "fully iced", and another upcharge for "design" (half red, half white). We were pretty disappointed at the dry, stale cookie cake with the thinnest smear of hard, dry frosting unevenly spread on it. It was definitely not fresh. For the price we paid, we should have gotten a fresh cookie with design as promised. The manager is so snappy, we didn't want to go back and talk about it - it would only have made it worse. There was no way to get another cake in time, so $50 worth of cookie was cut up, rejected, and tossed out when the 20 seven year old kids celebrating didn't like it. Embarrassing.

Saturday 8/10 I tried 2 cookies one blueberry muffin and a chocolate chip cookie they were fresh and soft, I fell in love with the blueberry muffin. I then came back Monday 8/12 to get more and the blueberry muffins didn't taste nothing like they did 2 days ago cause they were hard and stale tasting. It was totally disappointing from the great experience I had when I first tried it. The staff was friendly only reason I gave 3's instead of 5's was I felt they should do quality checks to assure the same experience every time, and somebody dropped the ball!

I went twice to order cookies and was told to come back because the cookies were too hot to serve. I had a coupon for $2 off for a drink, but the CO2 must have been out because I had to trade my drink twice. The second drink wasn't any better, but at this point, I just counted it as a loss. Also, note that if you pay with your debit card, there is a .45 convenience fee (on a $15 purchase) fee may vary based on purchase amount. Cookies were nice and fresh! Enjoy!!

Wonderful cookies and a great deal on a soda! The staff is always top notch and very willing to suggest a new favorite. Try the pumpkin cheesecake bars!

Paid almost $20 for 2 brownies and 2 stuffed and they were really stale. I’m not a confrontational type but pretty horrible. First experience worst experience.

4:30 on a Monday and nobody answers the phone?? Back to back? And you can’t order online? How am I supposed to place an order? I don’t know what happened to this place but it’s a joke. Will be taking my business elsewhere.

Yikes! If I could post pics of the cookie I received, no words would be necessary. Looks like a kindergartner decorated the cookie. It was so bad, we had a good laugh at my daughter's graduation party when the cookie was revealed. Thank goodness I had also ordered mini bundt cakes with grad toppers from Nothing Bundt Cakes-they were delicious & beautiful-- & saved the day!

I ordered a huge rectangular cookie for our son. Went to pick it up, since it was so big, they showed it to me sideways and I didn't see they spelled Shane wrong. Spelled it "shame". I called, left messages for the manager and have pictures. No return call. Each time I called, the manager was not in and girl said manager would return. Never did! Yep, lost my business.

**Updated review**The customer service I received yesterday was a major improvement than my recent visits. The cookie cake I ordered was not only fresh but exactly what I asked for, down to the design. Thank you!Picked up some cookies today. Most of the ones on display looked like they were cooked too long. The ones I got were semi hard and I probably will stick with insomnia. Customer service could be better also!
