I was craving an egg salad sandwich so I was told to go here and I’m so happy I did. I had their B.E.T (bacon, egg, and tomato) sandwich and my husband tried their meatloaf sandwich. We both loved it and will definitely be back!!!

Order the lunch special. It's a great way to explore the menu and try new things. The lunch rush is a little extreme, and it makes the restaurant loud and tight, but the food is good enough to make it past of your regular lunch rotation.Dietary restrictions: They're usually very good about gluten sensitivities

My favorite local sandwich shop. This place is in my Tallahassee top 5. The creative soup and sandwich menu is consistently delicious. So So much better than the national chain stores. This local chain is a gem. I need to also mentiom that the community iced tea is unparalleled! The iced tea here is so good that I literally started buying my tea bags from Community and adding a spearmint tea bag at home. Exceptional!!Vegetarian options: Not a vegetarian but they have plenty of vegetarian options.

Love Hopkins. Love the tea, love the sandwiches, salads, soups, and cakes. I have been eating here and the Market Street location for decades (I hit the Capt. Cricle loc when on that side of town). Local favorite ❤️

Certainly at this point Hopkins is a staple for Tallahassee and as I hadn't been in a while, I thought I would pay Homage. It's like it is frozen in time. When you walk, it hasn't changed much and I must say there is something quite comforting in that consistency. There is a certain degree of nostalgia present here. Hummer was my goto a while back, but today I went with the Linda. It was exactly as I remembered it, the marbled rye was fresh, no staleness in the crust as can happen in sandwich shops, a telltale sign of attention to detail. Tomatoes were juicy and freshly sliced and sprouts (which can be hard to find these days) were on point as well. Service was on fast and efficient, kitchen looked shiny, employees are just as I remembered them as well, a bit eclectic, great experience! My ONE critique, I got a cup of corn chowder, the flavor profile of which was VERY good, a spike of dill seasoning it up nicely, BUT, the consistency was quite watery, flavor was still good, not watered down but I, personally, would expect a thicker consistency to a "chowder" I'm assuming they did not use the typical roux liaison' to leave the door open for the gluten free, completely understandable, though I wish I would have been alerted to this as I feel most people would associate a thicker soup when referring to a chowder. Aside from that mild hiccup Hopkins has managed to maintain their identity over a span of many years, not an easy feat in the restaurant graveyard we call Tallahassee, I'm impressed and appreciative. Good Job

My roast beef sandwich was near divine. Peanut butter cake was novel, but it likewise disappeared. Highly recommend. ?

Food was okay. Nothing special at all, probably won't come back unless I was with someone that wanted to go here.

Ordered cuban based upon ratings for Cubans in Tallahassee. Will stick to traditional chicken salad..too much mayo and onions. Not a good choice.

Really good sandwiches. Super good. Would be a 5 star, but I don’t understand why they smashed my sandwich.

Best local sandwich shop in Tallahassee!! Our favorites include the Hummer, the blackbird, the warm salmon sandwich and the meatloaf sandwich. Their cakes and bars are so good too. Hopkins is a local treasure.
