I would not recommend going on a college night especially to eat or drink. The service was poor, and the orders were brought out incorrectly. Also, allowing customers to order behind the counter (where the workers are) should not be allowed…

Went here because the pictures made it seem like a really fun restaurant. The only thing this place is good for is taking Instagram pictures. The service was terrible, multiple waitresses that constantly disappear, we hardly saw our server which made it difficult to order. Ordered the street corn fries which was okay, but the fries were 100% from the freezer, and the sauce was super basic. I rather get fast food than go here again. At our table one person's food was completely forgotten despite multiple requests, and by the time the group was done eating still nothing, and they tried to charge them for food they never got. They also have a forced 18% gratuity charge that is not advertised FYI, and they will ask you to put a $20 hold on your card before ordering. Go to McDonald's before coming here!!

Misguider

I went with friends try this exciting sounding restaurant. After waiting for 20 minutes to order while they had few patrons, I was the only one to order non-water, getting a strawberry lemonade [they were out of blueberry], I had to wait 15 minutes until we had to remind the waitress of my drink, as it had been forgotten.

Then another 15 minutes we received all 3 other people's food [all a basic appetizer just getting it as the entree]
However I was told mine would be out shortly, over the next 30 minutes as everyone else ate I was reassured multiple times its just about out. We received boxes and bills before it ever came out and they tried to charge me for it.

Worst experience in Tallahassee. We ordered four drinks and waited over an hour to receive them. Drinks were terrible. Bartender and waitresses did not comp anything or offer any remorse other than saying sorry for the wait. Do not try this place.

Upon walking in, the atmosphere you’re greeted with is not the worst, but that is the only thing I would give anything more than a one star. Service that felt like we were being actively ignored, a member of our party didn’t get their food and had to ask for their drink. The table felt like it was about to fall apart, our food felt like everything was pre frozen or came from a can. Unexpected mandatory 18% tip (probably because the service is so bad no one was tipping). Will not return.

Went for the lunch specials listed online. Completely different menu. Auto 18% gratuity that you’re not told about and a member of our party was completely forgotten about. Never received their food even after multiple inquiries. Then attempted to charge them for it. Very disappointed.

Went here with a friend and We asked to split the appetizer but the server forgot to. I didn’t realize until the next day. We both called they gave us a hard time about giving us a receipt. They told us they couldn’t find our receipt with the last four of our card (We used Apple Pay)When we asked if they could find our receipt using the exact price we paid They said no and then put us on hold then hung up. We called separately. My bill was $77.36 paid at 8:58pm on 8/1/2025. We had a good time and the food was ok, a bit salty. Because of the service and lack of help me and my friend will not be back. If you wanna keep a consistent crowd of people who are willing to spend money I suggest being more helpful with customers if you want them to return. I also wanna pin point that there’s added gratuity and the servers don’t do a great job on informing you. I would like to make it known that if you do end up at this establishment ALWAYS ask for a receipt.

Animal lover 2003

Okay we like some other people miss understood and got a bit of a shock but it was a good experience in the long run. Service and food were really good. Yes they have Spanish food but when they say “Miami”, they mean more of the club scene. The music was a bit loud but just being two adults we got to reminisce about our younger clubbing days and even recognized some of the music being played. If you go here, just have the right expectations on the atmosphere, also food took a little
Bit so don’t be in a hurry and be aware of the included gratuity. Again, not what we had expected but overall a good experience. Also our server was awesome with the food recommendations and the honest feedback about the menu. Great college hangout spot.

My first and last visit to this establishment.
My friend and I arrived around 3pm after seeing online that Flamingoz offers lunch from 11-4. Upon arriving, we were told to seat ourselves and that our server would be with us “shortly”. We sat for about 15 minutes before someone finally brought us waters, and another 10-15 minutes before our server arrived to take our order.

First red flag: we were told that, prior to ordering anything, we had to put a “card on file”.
On the table, there was a QR code menu with three options: Lunch (11-4pm), Food, and Drinks. As it was before 4pm, my friend and I both ordered off the lunch menu, which boasted “Famous $8.99 lunch menu (with beverage purchase).”
We each ordered a daiquiri ($15), split one appetizer of Mozzarella Sticks ($10) and we both selected the Lomo Saltado from the $8.99 Lunch Menu options.

Worth mentioning: we both put in our full orders (drinks, app, and entree) all at once because it was the only time the server had come to the table in our 30 minutes of being there.

Now for the food. The Mozzarella sticks were okay, but very obviously came out of a bag from the frozen foods aisle. The Lomo Saltado was a similar experience— well seasoned, but clearly previously frozen. However, we didn’t mind because of what we expected to be a cheap price tag.

When our server finally came back with our checks, we were shocked to see that we were each charged over $55. I asked the server how this could be, as we’d ordered specifically from the $8.99 lunch menu. She said she would have to check, and after running over to the bar, she returned and told us that the lunch menu doesn’t apply on weekends. This, of course, was not specified on any menu in the building (see photos attached), nor is it listed online.

On my final tab, the “8.99” meal came to $22. There was also an automatic 18% “service charge” included, which is astounding to me as the server appeared on two occasions: to take our order, and to take our payment. Nobody ever checked to see if we even liked our food, or if we needed anything after the food was dropped off.

Overall, a highly disappointing experience and intense lack of regard for their own menu pricing. We will not be back.

I enjoy this restaurants wings for lunch. On Wednesdays they have 10 wings for $1. They're crispy and juicy. They're cook to other so it takes a moment but not an outrageous amount of time. Don't know if people know about the lunch specials yet because is not busy at all during lunch. LOVELY outside setting area. In is small but really shines during ladder opening hours because the choice of lightning sets the whole atmosphere and vibe the restaurant is going for hence, the name flamingo (South Florida). Over all i find myself going back to this restaurant because I enjoy the wings, it's not outrageously priced and it's close to my work
