The funny thing is, as I was putting in my order a colleague told me that the service here was so poor, she’d never return. Brushing her off and being in the service industry before I recognize there are some bad days. I decided to order anyway as I was in the mood for catfish. I had a ready time of 7:52p-8:02p, and when I arrived at 7:56p I waited at the host stand for 5 minutes. Although multiple staff members made eye contact, I was ignored. I then walked to the bar to inquire about my food, and received a response to give her a minute. Again, being understanding and assuming that the bar handles Togo food, I used the restroom and came back to sit at the bar. No one greeted me and the bartender never returned, although I was seated at her bar and she made eye contact multiple times. I witnessed someone else receiving their order (at aprox. 8:18p) so I moved to the front end of the bar, closer to the exit. I was still ignored as the bartender was using her phone, and speaking to what I gathered as her friends visiting the bar, showing them things on her phone, etc as I sat there with no follow up. When I asked about my food again, she said to again give her a second, while never leaving the bar or inquiring or even going into the kitchen. Getting impatient, I flagged down a server to which she got my food immediately at 8:37p. Upon opening my food, it was all cold to the touch which tells me that the food was most likely sitting in the kitchen the whole time, while the bartender was parlaying as I waited patiently. THE ORDER WAS PLACED AT 7:22p!! I neverrrrr write reviews but something has to be said about this piss poor service. I would probably still be sitting there if it weren’t for that server. Probably will not be returning and when asked, I will definitely re-emphasize what is already widely known in Tallahassee: JOELLENS HAS THE WORST SERVICE!

The Customer Service = TERRRRIBLEEEEE . & dont think that sitting at the bar will be any better, cause the lady with the Bob always got an attitude as if somebody pissed in her cereals. If you can get past the awful attitudes of the workers , then your experience will be great ?

We got there about 8:30.Many of the items on their menu were not available.When we finally got an order together, the food was delivered on a piecemeal basis over a one hour period. Some of were long finished with their meal while others were still waiting.Mixed results on food quality.Won't go back again.

I had my baby shower yesterday at JoEllen’s On College ave. They are black owned and did not come to disappoint! My server was Tierra and she was on it serving my party of about 15 adults and a kids table of 8 she did it effortlessly… The food was superb that salmon 10/10. I tried the fried macaroni bites for the first time and it was actually my favorite appetizer with that zesty sauce. I unfortunately couldn’t have an alcoholic beverage but the blue Hawaiian mocktail did what it needed to do. The owner also came out and greeted us while delivering my cake to the the table. I definitely will be returning 10/10 experience!!!Kid-friendliness: I had a table of about 8 kids and they were very happy.

We just stopped in for a quick drink to cool off after a long walk. We were greeted quickly and warmly and felt right at home. We quickly had our Moscow mules in hand and they were very well made. Definitely want to go back to try the food!
My first time here was on valentine's day (2-14-24). They presented a special menu for that night with a limited amount of items. I ordered the meatloaf. The meatloaf was dry (no tomato paste, sauce or even ketchup). The next day I ate it, it was better adding the ketchup ofcourse. While I was there they had a flyer for karaoke night coming up. So I made plans to be entertained that scheduled day. Now present which is today. It's time to have a good time but when I arrive to the front already see a guest that expressed that he has been waiting at the door for 30 mins and he now wants a refund from his online order that he placed and been waiting for a host to approach him at the door to greet him. Now it's been 10 mins waiting so I stopped a waiter that clearly see the guest at the door. I asked the waiter who is the host and when will they be seating us. This young lady stats that the kitchen is behind so they will not be seating anyone for about an hr. I then responded that no one even try to speak to say anything. The service was not at all good. The vibe is cool but the service and wait time SUCKS.

The drinks were amazing! A strawberry mimosa and orange crush. The fried deviled eggs were my favorite. My burger was not cooked to satisfaction,it was still red and mushy when i took a bite out of it and when brought to the attention of the server she only replied oh sorry and walked away. My partners food was delicious though. Cornbread was sweet and light.Parking: Parked a block up and had to pay a parking meter. The food took longer than expected so we ended up having to feed the meter for a total of 2 hours.
