If you want authentic dishes from China this place comes very close for most things. I enjoy my hot oolong tea every visit.
Their food is delicious! Cow?

Poor service.
The young lady was really rude to me there, I'm not sure if she didn't like me or was having a bad day but she basically threw my food at me and walked away after waiting patiently for about 15 mins for a takeout order
This place used to be great, but the last couple times the food hasn't been that good and their service is terrible. Lately, they don't even answer their phone. I think they might be closed/closing.

We tried Joy Luck Place for the first time today. I hate to complain. The chicken was overcooked and dry. It was so spicy I couldn't eat only a couple of pieces. I ordered fried rice instead of plain white rice. The rice only maybe fried a couple of seconds. It only had a few peas and carrots. The rice didn't have any eggs in it and the rice had no taste. I shouldn't have ordered it especially since there was a $2 upcharge. I don't mind paying upcharges for what I want but not for something that has no taste. My husband ordered lo mein and it was bland. There was a $4 upcharge. That is ridiculous for something with no flavor. The menu showed there was coke products. The waitress informed me they didn't have them. She said they only had tea and water. The waitress was very friendly. The restaurant was dirty, dark lighting, and the temperature in there was very warm and uncomfortable. I ended up getting sick after we left.
Wheelchair accessibility: The ramp needs repairing. There are broken pavers. This is very dangerous.

We ordered 3 meals from here. It was just alright and I think I'm being generous giving two stars instead of one.. The chicken for all three meals had a sponge-like texture to the breading and the sauce was like water, very thin. The fried rice was pretty bland like a couple carrot cubes (where's the veggies?!) I think I saw one piece of egg, and lacking in the "fried" department, there was a $2 upcharge for this too. Could definitely add more sauce to the container that comes with the Rangoons, there wasn't nearly enough. The egg rolls were pretty good. My receipt did not match my order either, something about their system or register wasn't ringing things up correctly? Idk anyway it makes it difficult to itemize and verify your being charged correctly and in our case we were splitting takeout with a jacked up receipt and no menu other than what Google provided. In other words I won't be returning and just giving an honest review for others, I wish them luck.

The food is good. One of the best Chinese places in town.

Oh my goodness the food here is AMAZING!!! I got the eggplant and garlic sauce, and it was beyond delicious. I got the lunch portion, it was giant and filled me up for hours. Made fresh, served piping hot, the servers are amazing!!

I will preface this by saying that we ordered close about an hour to close time, so maybe that affected my experience, but even so I don’t think I’ll ever be back. We ordered Mongolian beef, fried chicken, fried rice and stir fried broccoli. The Mongolian beef was decent, pretty good spice level and the beef was tasty. That being said, everything else was highly disappointing. The fried rice I ordered ended up being white rice with a little vegetables and fish cake, the fried chicken was flavorless and cut so the bones broke off and could potentially get stuck in your throat, and the broccoli was also very bland and disappointing. It really sucked because I’ve been looking for a great Chinese spot and had such high hopes for this place, but at $60 plus tip I just don’t have money to spend on food I can’t enjoy. Thank you Joy Luck Place, but no thank you.

The food was amazing. The closest to authentic Chinese you're going to get outside of China. Our server was sweet and very helpful. She made the experience all the more better.

I was skeptical at first. A lovely couple, and a lady recommended my husband and I to eat there when I went inside to checkout the place. I can say I love the food, and the atmosphere. I was telling my husband it gives you that Charlie Brown vibe . Will be coming back soon! ?
Parking: Great parking as well.
Wheelchair accessibility: They have a ramp for customers who needs this access.
Sesame Chicken was good. Rice was not. Egg drop soup was good. Vegetable lo mein was good. Service was meh.
Joy Luck place is top tier Tallahassee Chinese! They have my favorite filling for dumplings in town. The General Tso’s chicken is made with real chicken. They get the balance of breading and sauce just right! The lunch special is a pretty good deal with good value. If you haven’t tried Joy Luck Place and like Chinese food, you need to try it! Shoutout to my buddy Phil for going with me!
Homestyle fish is a must try. Great place for authentic Chinese/Szechuan cuisines
