Best oxtail I've ever had in tally, the cabbage is insane. The food really is authentic!!

I’ll start off with saying I came right before they closed but I ordered the j*** chicken but it was basically just two chicken legs with sauce, which isn’t bad but I could have had barbecue if that was the case. The rice was okay but the sauce made it taste better. The vegetables were ready good though. It was too expensive for $16 & barely any food.

The food was amazing. Very tender oxtail with a lot of flavor. The rice was delicious. However, I didn't like the cabbage and carrots. Kind of dry. Overall, the experience was good. Friendly staff.

Went on a Saturday afternoon and the truck was closed up. I Googled Jamaican food near me and it said they’re open but they’re not. I did not feel the need to look for them on IG or FB

I had a take to go plate yes it is worth it when i got the oxtails in which each meal comes with peas rice and cabbage. I can't eat cabbage so i got curry chicken on the side. Yes it was worth it. Heavy plate oh my. I had to make an decision which one to do drive or hold up traffic when i got that first bite of the oxtails rice and peas together. Then of the curry chicken i was confused what to do. So i pulled over and had an few more bites until half was gone.Kid-friendliness: I really did enjoy myself while i was waiting on my food. The women's that cook we talked until my food was done. Thank you lady's.

I don’t usually read reviews often, but this was an exception. Someone recommended this spot to me and this is my first time trying the curry goat. And I am pleased to say this is one of the best, if not THE best spot in Tallahassee to get authentic Jamaican food. I was met with two very kind ladies and the service was extremely fast. The food portion is large and delicious. The curry goat was extremely tender and flavorful. I definitely recommend anyone to taste the food. I will definitely come back.

Small portions they charge $23 andI only had 4 oxtails .then I ordered a side of j*** chicken and that was 8 dollars only for 3 little pieces with barely any meat and it’s not authentic j*** chicken it just has bbq sauce on it .I was very disappointed will not be back

Moving from south Florida to Tallahassee was an extreme culture shock! I’ve been missing home and their food took me right back! Definitely 100% true authentic Jamaican food. I’ve tried the other few there and There is NO COMPARISON !

Coming from Jamaican heritage and living down south FL, where there is a plethora of Jamaican cuisine available, I was highly disappointed. The pickings are slim here in Tallahassee, and I was not at all impressed. I paid $60 for 3 LARGE plates of Curry Chicken, Oxtails and J*** Chicken. Every plate was SMALL not large at all. The rice was sticky and tasted like the bottom of the pot, not prepared the traditional way, all I could taste was salt, no coconut milk, no scallion etc. They gave me 4 small OVERCOOKED pieces of oxtail that were cut in half, Sam’s club sells oxtails the size of my hand fyi. The curry chicken was okay. And the J*** chicken had BBQ sauce on it, I should’ve known then not to purchase it. I’m 6 months pregnant and was craving authentic Jamaican food, I literally threw up everything 20 mins after eating. Lastly, they are charging $4 for a beef patty and $3 for CocoBread, Crosses, mi vex!!!! OVERPRICED, Overall I will NOT be returning. I would rather drive the 6 hours back home and get the real thing or bite the bullet and cook it at home myself. I’ll post a pic of the oxtails I was cooking that I purchased from Sam’s Club.

Possibly the best ox tail I’ve ever had. And it’s the first time I’ve had j*** chicken that wasn’t so hot, I couldn’t feel my tongue. I actually finished it! Which has never happened. I also appreciate the cleanliness of the establishment. Five stars all-around. I’ll definitely return!
