Sake House Japanese Bistro

This was the best sushi I have found in Tallahassee, I been to at least 4 restaurants so far looking for something close to good quality. The fried oysters and egg roll were not good. But the sushi was.

food is mid. manager is very rude, unprofessional and doesn’t care about customer satisfaction. Also, no refunds if they mess up your food. Overall, the experience was quite upsetting. This is most likely the reason why the restaurant was empty.

Whether dine-in or take-out Sake House never disappoints! The staff is amazing, the food is always incredible and I love the atmosphere of the restaurant. Probably some of the best food I've had in Tallahassee. Definitely a hidden gem.

Kid-friendliness: They are super friendly and always make sure my son is comfortable and accommodated.

We ordered 3 sushi rolls (all raw sushi, very fresh, spicy tuna roll, tuna roll, and new york roll), crab ragoons (probably best I've had in Tallahassee), philly cheesesteak rolls (they were good, just would of rather had more ragoons), and chicken teriyaki plate (fresh and came with soup or salad). Everything was so good and fresh. Service was great and enjoyed the overall look and vibe. Will definitely be back!

I received my food within 5-10 minutes of ordering and I was not disappointed. Everything from the presentation to the taste was top tier! I got the Ocean Wave, the mango inside was amazingly sweet. I highly recommend a trip here, I will definitely be back.

I love this place. The sushi is top tier and the hibachi is delicious. I've taken my girlfriend here multiple times on dates and it never fails to deliver. Hope more people come to eat here they deserve all the business!

I would not come here ! This place is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at any International Restaurant! The 1st time I was over charged I spent $78+$10 tip , My server had me buy a $20 dish that I only ate the California roll nothing else that came with it ! N then all my side dishes ! I was able to take pictures one of my items was $6.95 when I got my itemized receipt it was $16.96 ! Overall I make the best out of any bad situation!!
Fast Forward to yesterday different times of the day ‘ I guess I came earlier to do the lunch special I had no idea they did that’s key ! So we get seated About 10 mins go by he walked passed us multiple times !!! But I’m used to a bit of racism it’s ok Aslong as I’m respectful when we interact it’s always hope your view could change just so we can respectfully do business !! So finally he comes up I got me & my son a lemonade simple stuff .. I also flipped the menu n seen they had more stuff so I told him I’m just gonna start with the sushi specials 2-3 $13.95he asks me miso or salad I said I never tried miso before id like that & politely nervously asked if I don’t like the miso could I exchange for the salad he scuffed n said no “Why don’t you just get the salad” I said “It’s about the experience” then he said “Well why don’t you pay for it” man I just seen the problem shook my hand n said could I just get the receipt ! My kid lemonade a mines was $7 ?? I left him $5 an walked out ! I’ve seen multiple Yt people groups of friends they looked happy soo it’s safe for you guys but POC I’m on the hunt for a new sushi place !

They must’ve recently changed their menu - I remember the last time the hibachi came with rice AND noodles. No big deal as you still get plenty of food!

Loved the vibe and decor of the place as well as the cute designed straws. The sushi was good, but the hibachi was to die for, the rice and lo mein were genuinely the best I've ever had. I would have preferred the dressing for the salad be on the side or just less, it was too overpowering to the point that I didn't end up eating it. And I wish the calamari also had the sauce on the side, or a bit more as every piece didn't have some. The service was attentive, but a bit dismissive of my boyfriend, yet made sure to give him the check. Other than wanting the sauces on the side and a bit confused about the odd gender treatment, it was a very nice meal.

Visited for the first time tonight while visiting my daughter in Tallahassee. Food was amazing and service was great. Best Teriyaki salmon I’ve had. Will definitely visit again. Teriyaki salmon bento box pictured.
