The Shecrab soup is AMAZING!! I'll definitely be back ASAP!!!
We’ve enjoyed two visits to Leon’s this past month. On the first occasion, three of us enjoyed eating outside. Lovely to sit under the trees, overlooking Lake Ella. The she-crab soup and gumbo were especially tasty compared to the simpler salad and green goddess BLT. Only wish the dessert had not been sold out. On our next visit, two of us enjoyed the blackened shrimp and Gouda grits sandwich, fried tomato sandwich, soup (love that she-crab! Delicious.) and crème brûlée. Good flavor, all! For now, Leon’s is open for lunch 4 days a week. Limited indoor seating but plenty of outdoor seating. Highly recommend for a casual and tasty lunch!

This place is a gem!! I ordered the Blackened Shrimp & Grits sandwich & She Crab Soup and they were both absolutely perfect! There was quite a line and the staff managed it flawlessly. The atmosphere is beautiful, I can't wait to go back!

Very disappointed. Descriptions sounded wonderful but the actual food was very small portions and plain. Ordered the she crab soup and Bao tacos. The soup tasted good but was a tiny portion for an enormous price of $12. (Was told 8oz but more like 4 oz) We've paid less for more in high end resturants.
The bao tacos were the size of a small half biscuit with a morsel of meat and not much else. Had to wait for a very long time while they served 3 other groups in front of us.
So to sum it up....
1. Small portions
2. Expensive for what you get (Would pay double to get a normal size portion)
3. Slow service
P.s. the lake view is beautiful

Fabulous. The food was wonderful. Fried Green Tomatoe sandwich on the best focatia bread ever tasted. She-crab soup. A sunny day with a table next to the water. I could not ask for anything
better. Can't wait to return. My kind of dream place.

Eating here makes me feel undeserving. I'm paying $16 dollars for a sandwich with $60 dollar quality. 10/10 , 5/5 , all the stars.

A must if you are passing through. We had the smoked wings and the Cuban. Both dishes were excellent and exceeded our expectations.

Good food but $4 for a glass of Publix sweet tea is crazy. If you’re going to charge that much, make homemade sweet tea but from the jug is CRAZY work.

Very beautiful location right by the lake. Im scared of the birds so sitting outside did bother me. There are only a few tables inside so sitting outside or getting to go is almost mandatory. My husband and I went at 1p on a Sunday. It was PACKED took 45mins to get our food. Im a very picky eater and I got the shrimp with andoulli sausage sauce with fried grit cake ( i did not care for) and collards on the side. Everything was favorable nicely presented and hot. My husband got the she crab soup and bacon gouda grilled cheese. Witch he enjoyed. We would visit again to try different options. Most of the items were great. The menu changes weekly

Leons at lake ella is my wife and I favorite brunch spot, the food is amazing everytime! but I do wish the place was open later and they had more drink options. Other than that it's truly been a pleasure to try so many of chef leaons dishes! If you havnt tried the food yet your missing out.

Leon’s is amazing. The soups are sooo good. I can’t wait to try the shrimp and grits sandwich.
A five star lunch. Ate outside looking over lake Ella with my wife. We had the she crab soup, fried green tomato sandwich, and french fries. The focaccia bread was divine. Everything was spectacular. Vega was our server and she was wonderful. Will be back again soon!

I had the privilege and honor of watching Chef Leon's growth over the last few years working at Lake Ella. Leon is a genuine and hardworking guy. I've had the opportunity to try many of his dishes working at the lake, top faves were the She crab soup, the catfish platter, shrimp and grits sandwich, fried green tomato sandwich, (and so many more) Leon contributes so much to the community, not just from his delicious food but also through his volunteer work! I will miss his food, his welcomeness, and his light now that I have moved out of Tallahassee, and I know where I'll be eating FIRST when I come back to visit! Support Leon and his team! Support local!
