I went here for the first time, and I ordered the blueberry habanero wings, and I also ordered the she-crab soup. With the cutest little piece of bread in it. Everyone was kind and friendly. They had a bunch of ladies in there with red hats on, and they were funny too. I will be coming back because I like the food it's different, it's unique, and it's very tasty, and you won't break the bank it's affordable. Which is important now these days for people who can't afford all this food out here. I have plenty of wings in Tallahassee, but I finally found my spot. kudos to You Leon God bless you and what you have going on. And I pray that God bless you and prosper you in ways that you could never imagine.

Great food, personable, inventive chef in a very relaxed setting by Lake Ella. The shrimp and grits bowl was amazing. Another of our party had the soup flight (3 different soups, each was delicious). HIGHLY recommend!

My favorite lunch spot!! Everything on the menu is exceptional, but I could especially eat the Rosemary Focaccia Sandwich every single day. I actually did last weekend, I can’t stay away. There’s nothing better than sitting outside by the lake enjoying a delicious meal with friends at Leon’s! It’s exactly what Tallahassee had been missing.

Amazing food from a renowned chef who is as humble as he is superior in his ability to blend the most exquisite flavors! Tallahassee is blessed by his restaurant and this is a must stop along Monroe street by the scenic lake Ella. Highly recommend the Bao buns and shrimp and grits sandwich.

Holy Moly! I'm happy this place is finally open! Chef Leon is bringing new and exciting flavors to town. We've tried just about everything on the menu so far and the Rosemary Focaccia Sandwich is, hands down, my favorite. Cannot wait to see where he goes from here!

Leon is truly a diamond in the rough in our town! He catered a specialized menu to Georgia for our rehearsal dinner, the night before our wedding! For 50+ of our family members, we were on the edge of our seats for each course! He would intermittently explain the featured items on his menu that were presented to us between each course. He would also go around greeting each family member. Not only is he adding life back into Lake Ella, he is also someone I would call for catering ANY type of event. Not to mention the food is to die for!! Highly recommend the crab bisque soup and creme brulee for dessert :) we love you Leon!!The Scruggs Family

Our first time at Leon’s and we will definitely be back! They had great vegetarian options which is something I always look for on menus. The shrimp and grit sandwich, rosemary focaccia, and butternut squash pupusas were to die for! Super friendly staff and great service. Highly recommend sitting outside if you can for the beautiful view of Lake Ella!

I really enjoyed my experience here! The restaurant has in door and outdoor seating and offers takeout. I didn't order ahead of time and only waited about 15 minutes inside for my meals to go as a walk in customer. The Rosemary Focaccia Sandwich and She Crab Soup were excellent! Portions are large. I saved half my sandwich for later in the day.Parking: I parked in the rock lot beyond the Black Dog and walked to Leon's.

It was a gorgeous day at the lake today. So nice to see so many families and young adults enjoy the sun and the incredible lunch options at Leon’s at Lake Ella. I placed my order then continued my walk around the lake, shortly after making it back to the restaurant side my food was ready. I tried the Butternut Squash Pupusa and I must say the flavors are out of this world! Pairing the fluffy pupusa with their house made lime créame and curry salsa adds so much versatility to the dish. Even with the long line this bustling Saturday, the staff remained so friendly and professional, and the chefs did not disappoint. I will definitely be back next weekend to try more items on the menu. Thank you Chef!

We were so excited to learn that our favorite Chef, Chef Donut, from Secret Chef was about to open a restaurant in our very own Tallahassee! (Chef Donut is Chef Leon, in case you haven't seen Secret Chef on Netflix). We were finally able to catch Leon's at Lake Ella open today and decided to take full advantage, even if it was a rainy, dreary afternoon. We ordered one of literally everything on the menu, except the hummus, salads, shrimp and grits sandwich and the tahini brownie (we tried to order a Brownie, but they were sold out). We brought the food home to eat and IT. WAS. AMAZING! Every, single item was fresh and flavorful with a variety of great textures. The mushroom bisque soup was heaven, the rosemary focaccia sandwich was one of the best vegetarian dishes I've ever had and the unique flavors in the gochugang BBQ wings are to die for! Chef Leon's food is surprising in the best way possible. We highly recommend! 11/10Vegetarian options: Leon's offers at least 1 vegetarian dish in each category (appetizer, sandwich, soup, etc.) and we tried them all, except the hummus, salads and brownie - everything was absolutely delicious and our 2 vegetarian children were exceptionally pleased! We will be back :)
