Went and ate today, worst Gizzards I've ever had. Coleslaw tasted like vinegar. The Sweet Tea Was beyond sweet. Was very dissatisfied. Will not be going back. The whole place needs a makeover. The Lady behind the counter was very nice.

This is a long time local place that has the best chicken sandwich. It isn't fast food because everything is cooked when you place your order. Today was for takeout. Chicken sandwich with fried okra, two piece white with Mack and cheese and baked beans. I also ordered 5 biscuits for good measure. Stars for the chicken. It was done perfectly. The biscuits were good and the gravy on the instant mashed potatoes was very good. The Mac and cheese - no. Baked beans - from a can and not doctored up like the ones that I make. However, the fried okra I'd have again. This is an order at the counter - been there forever type of place so it looks a little old but it was very clean when I was there. Even the restroom. I would hate to see this local place go away so patronize it!

Old ragedy broke down restrooms. Whole place needs to be torn down and rebuilt. Food is great but why the place is not in better condition is beyond me!

This restaurant was filthy. I was in town for the FAMU Championship Game and decided to eat here. I had not been to Lindys in 30 years. I had intentions on sitting down and enjoying my wings and fries. Once I ordered and looked for a table, there wasn’t one clean table.Mind you this was at 12 o’clock and I was the only customer in the place. This restaurant was dirty from days prior. I felt so bad I would have taken a clean wet towel and started cleaning. There wasn’t one clean area in the entire restaurant. I started to think if the public area looks like this, I wonder what the kitchen looks like.In the spirit of correction, I tried to politely encourage the young lady behind the counter, instead of sitting down and doing nothing (which she was doin) why not clean up the lobby so customers can come in to a clean restaurant.She did receive what I hat to say in a positive manner.After leaving I ate the food at my hotel, it was good. However I don’t think I will go back because of how nasty the place was.
The floor is so gross!! Lemonade spilled all over the counter with wet towels and the straw box soaked through (water rings on the box like this has happened more than once). My feet came out of my shoes which stuck to the floor. The lady at the counter was beyond slow and rude. No idea how the heath department hasn't shut this location down.

Lindy’s Chicken has a long history in Tallahassee, Florida and I’ve been eating their fried chicken and other delicious delectables for over 30 years. I highly recommend this restaurant for fried chicken and just southern cuisine, period. I have always been satisfied by the quality of the food and the quality of the service I receive at Lindy’s Chicken.
