This was the first recommendation I received from a Tallahassee native. After the cupcake craze that swept the nation a few years back, I've grown suspect of them, but these were truly delicious. I chose one coconut cupcake (very light coconut flavor, not overwhelming) and one strawberry shortcake cupcake, which had a whipped cream topping instead of icing. Both were outstanding.Icing on the cake -- they serve small and large "pupcakes," so I was even able to bring one home for my dog!

I'm giving this a review a three because the vegan cupcakes are a bit dense. The icing is good but the cake is thick and dense. They are not the best vegan cake that I've had. I'll try another flavor. Maybe that will be better and update then.

In specific...the chocolate cream cheese cupcake was not what we expected. My absolute favorite icing with any cake or cupcake is cream cheese frosting. Needless to say, I have had many. The “style” cream cheese this lil cupcakery shop uses does not taste like your average cream cheese. It tastes like your typical sugary vanilla frosting. To the point we called and thought we had been given the wrong thing. They were VERY polite and kind about wanting to make it right even though they felt sure they provided the correct cupcakes in our order. When I arrived the next day to pick up 4 new ones, it turns out they were the exact same and that is just how their icing is. Their customer service was so wonderful and they insisted I still go ahead and choose 4 more “on the house” however, since they were so kind about it and didn’t “truly” make any mistakes I felt it was only right for me to pay for them ( 4 different ones)...so I did. So while this is a cute little cupcake shop...if your looking for a real organic cream cheese frosting, this isn’t the spot. BUT they have many other options that were yummy and they have really sweet staff!

There simply is no better treat in Tallahassee!! Maggie and Paula put love into every cookie, cupcake, cake ball, whatever magic they produce in that kitchen! My absolute favorite are her lemon cupcakes. They remind me of the cakes I used to bake with my grandma as a little girl. :)This is a bakery you can always feel good about supporting; they make great treats FROM SCRATCH, and they are some of the kindest most awesome people. COME HERE! EAT DELICIOUS CUPCAKES! FEEL GOOD!Also, try the Strawberry Shortcup cupcake. I promise you will not be disappointed ;)

Listen, I don't know where you are or what you're doing but I'm going to need you to drop everything and grab a chocolate cupcake. I stopped by Lucy & Leo's not only to support our local business, but also to try their gluten free options. It is incredibly hard to find gluten free baked goods so I thought I would give it a shot. I picked up my cupcakes less than an hour ago and we are already talking wedding catering for Feb. The shop is adorable and the staff is incredible. Ten out of ten, would go again, would recommend, tell all your friends.
Got pupcakes for my dogs 1st birthday and he loved them needless to say! The employees were so helpful and gave recommendations on size for cupcakes based on previous experiences, rather than trying to sell more $$ worth of cupcakes. I really appreciate them being able to produce my cupcakes in less than 24 hour notice!

One of my co-workers brought cupcakes in from "Lucy and Leo's". I had the red velvet cupcake with the small Oreo-like cookie on the top. It was absolutely terrific.

I live out of state and wanted to send my son cupcakes for his birthday at FSU. Lucy and Leo's were incredibly kind and helpful! Got the cupcakes to him on time the next day. I had them attach a balloon to further embarrass the boy! He said the cupcakes were delicious but could've done without the balloon! :)
