Great service as well as the food. Didn't have to wait either
What a wonderful experience. Not only were the food and wine good, but the owner personalized the experience by stopping by our table and sharing stories about her food and family.
McGowan's was one of our regular restaurants in rotation before COVID. We tried our best to continue supporting by getting food to go (which was just as good at home and came in sustainable packaging). In the last few months, we have been back several times and it doesn't disappoint...whether it's a working lunch, drinks with friends, or date night dinner.
This was the first time we have been. The food was wonderful. We shared our sandwiches and we also had drinks and I thought they were a bit overpriced. But, overall a very good place. We will be back
Last Night was our first time visiting and it was amazing. The food was delicious, the staff was great, and BEER!!!!
Food was amazing and our waitress went above and beyond. Appetizers were huge and plenty to share.
Great friendly service, yummy wine and a great beer selection. The big ol pretzel could use more salt, but otherwise very good.Updated review 2022: 5 stars for this favorite neighborhood pub! Always great service, delicious and comforting food, and the sparkling sangria! Cheers!(Try the Tater Nots!) ✨
Love the sangria, food, atmosphere and staff!
The place is small and cramped and the service below average, even pre-pandemic. The gentleman at the front greeting people I believe is one of the owners. He seems constantly distracted and confused and offered little help (to me and my wife). We have been to this place two times and both times walked out without ordering.
After our first date night spot being an hour wait, we decided to drive out to Bannerman Crossings to go to another restaurant. Long story short, we changed our plans once we saw McGowan’s Hops and Grapes menu and everything exceeded our expectations! The owner was at the door seating everyone & checking on everyone’s meals and the staff was amazing. It was only our first time there, but we will definitely be back to try some more of the fun menu items!

Great local place. Lots of beers on tap. Food menu is limited, but everything is pretty amazing. Best Ruben I've ever eaten.
Had a perfect Sunday lunch. The food is fresh & delicious. My husband enjoys the variety of beer choices. A unique local restaurant with a warm welcoming atmosphere.
Within an hour of opening keep in mind not very busy. This place was out of two things I wanted to try. They need to prep more when you only have a handful of tables. Not sure if I will try this place again. Sandwich had no flavor for a French dip the two bites I ate. Fries where good and the the pickle. They didn’t even offer to get me something Different or discount it. This place is pretty basic for the price.
A shockingly good spot that is kind of hidden way up north.A few standouts. The shepherds pie (cottage pie) was good and the pork rinds were excellent. The beer selection is very respectable and the service was great.Friendly place with good beer, good food, and good service. This is a place I'll certainly come back to.
The game was about to start and the place was about 2/3 full. We were seated right away and our drink order was taken quickly.
