Found this place on Reddit. Ate the Italian and the turkey special with drink and chip at a price point of $35.00. Turkey special was good Italian needs better bread and more love in the sauce. Flavor just not there and massive bread bun. This price point is way too high for what u get. There were 8 people behind the counter with only 3 actually working Wednesday at 1 pm. Cool vibe, great people, food s not up to the price point today.

We were visiting our son at FSU and several people recommended metro deli. We picked up. Super friendly and I talked to the owner. Small world. He and I played baseball for same travel coach. Had a nice chat and super friendly. Back to the food. Wow. Wife ordered the Gaze and the Ruben. Unbelievable. Our son is a sr and graduated spring 2026 and I wish we heard of this years ago. I will be calling the the next time we go and for sure during graduation. We rented a house and lots of family. So we will have the cater a lunch. Thank you and for the baseball flashback

I only took away one star because I had to pay $18 for a pastrami sandwich in order for it to resemble a good deli sandwich I used to get when I lived in NYC. Few delis outside of NY can compare but this deli is close.

Busy downtown deli with very good food. Had a pastrami sandwich, surprisingly very good. Came with a pickle and Cole slaw. Disappointed they didn't have Dr Brown's sodas.

Get the chicken bresto with bacon. Get the potato salad with it. It’s amazing.

Not from the area and got a lot of recommendations for Metro Deli, I am glad I did. Stopped in wildly unprepared and asked for a recommendation, the guy at the counter was super nice and after a few questions put me on The Baze. Incredible.
Cool spot, everyone I talked to was awesome, and the sandwich was amazing.
I had Metro Deli for the first time today. The Reuben was the best I have ever had, hot, juicy and loaded with meat. I'll be honest that the price was a LITTLE more than I expected but the sandwich was amazing. Great, quick service. The staff was super helpful and friendly as well.

I got the Italian on a gluten-free bun and made an Arnold Palmer at the drink station. The sandwich was delicious and toasted just right! The staff was friendly, prompt, and there was enough of them to take care of the lunch crowd without getting backed up. This is a great find in central Tallahassee!
