One of a kind service you won't find anywhere else. Food is great had the po' boy and shrimp gumbo. Taste authentic new Orleans cuisine.

Delicious catfish and shrimp! Reasonably priced. More than adequate quantity for the price! Limited inside seating.Ms. Pinky, the manager, was delightful as was the chef! "Down home hospitality"!

The worst sandwich I ever had in my life. It was purchased on 12/30/23 and I’m keeping the po boy sandwich and demand my money back!!

The gumbo was more like thick chicken soup. The rue was way too thick. The 32 ounce container had 2 shrimp and 5 circle size thinly sliced pieces of sausage no okra and too salty. I also ordered fried oysters, all I got was fried hard batter. Tonight’s meal was a total disaster. I make it my business to fine local. Just didn’t work out this time

I read some really nice comments about this place on Foodies last week. Praising their gumbo, etouffe' and Po Boys. We are fans of those bayou country classics. I was in the area yesterday at 11:15 am and stopped in. Tiny little place with a lot of character. Mardi Gras paraphernalia on the walls. Menu on the overhead panel and on a sidewall. For a newcomer, difficult to peruse quickly. There was a couple in front of me struggling to figure it out, had to call an associate on the phone to clarify her order. Seven minutes to place the order is tedious. I patiently waited along with 3 other parties to place our orders. I ordered seafood gumbo and etouffe' (both w rice on the side) to go. Received my order 5 min later, everyone else still waiting and made the trek home (25 miles). Excited to have some Cajun for lunch. A cup of each would hit the spot. The gumbo - it had a medium brown color - sign of a decent roux. The consistency was extremely gummy and gooey. It was like something thickened with too much cornstarch or arrowroot. There was more chicken in it than anything else. Also over salted. I thinned it with some chicken stock. It was ok.The etouffe - same gummy consistency but a much better seasoned dish. It had some crawdads and a nice amount of shrimp. I cut it with some chicken stock as well - and it was very tasty. For supper last night, we combined both stews, added some sliced andouille, more chicken and a bit more stock. Was really good, in fact, I had a bowl for breakfast this morning. I'll give this place another try in the future. Maybe a poboy, fried shrimp next visit! The lady running the register was great! Hospitable and helpful!

I ordered online and my food was ready when I arrived. The service was quiet and friendly. The restaurant itself was clean but small definitely a takeout establishment. The gumbo was a definite 5/5. It was loaded with protein and very tasty. I recommend paying the up charge to get your rice on the side. The chicken was a 2/5. It was okay, not as flavorful as the gumbo and slightly fishy. I did enjoy the hush puppies. The gumbo was the star for me.

Most authentic Cajun food out of NoLo.... The food is perfectly seasoned, it's not salty... the bread for the sandwich perfect.

Super fresh seafood for takeout. I'm from New Orleans, so I know good food. The catfish pieces were large. As were the shrimp. It is in a barely noticeable strip mall near Capitol Circle and Mahan.Face east while driving on Mahan while approaching CC. It's on the right.Just go.

Absolutely enjoyed the deliciously seasoned seafood (Generous catfish fillets and Plump butterfly shrimp) southern fried and served piping hot, from a friendly and courteous staff! This is sure to become my Friday spot!

I was totally disappointed with the food I ordered. I ordered 2 piece catfish and 6 piece shrimp. It was bland with no seasoning that I could taste. I am positive that the good reviews that were given were from people who truly do not know what good food actually taste like. Just being honest. Money well wasted.

A solid restaurant. So many food choices, but everything I have ever had here has been delicious. Crawfish étouffée, gumbo, fried catfish, po-boys, etc. are fantastic. This is the best New Orleans cuisine in town and it's primarily a takeaway spot. I would love to be able to sit and eat here, and they did have one open table for that purpose, but it feels a little odd occupying that single table when the main flow of business is all takeaway.

Went here just because we passed by and never noticed it. I got catfish, shrimp and oysters and it's pretty good! Got gumbo too but haven't tried it yet will update.
