Great Asian food store! They have just about everything you might expect plus so much more. I was pretty pleased with my first trip there. I was hoping for some Japanese milk bread, but unfortunately they did not carry that.

While I went to FSU, I lived across the street from this place. Excellent prices and a friendly staff. Great spot for snacks!

The owners of this supermarket, especially the male owner, have no idea how to respect customers. The female owner is slightly better, but they both don’t know how to run a business or make customers feel valued and respected. The male owner gives off the vibe that he's judging and watching customers. His expression is full of disdain and dissatisfaction.

Let me share my experience: I bought a small amount of items, and normally they provide a detailed receipt with each item listed. But this time, the male owner only gave me a receipt showing the total price. I asked for the detailed receipt, and he said it was in the bag. When I told him that wasn’t it and that he only gave me the total, he dismissively said, "You only bought a few items, what's the point?" I felt completely disrespected. I told him that regardless of how many items I buy, I should get a detailed receipt. He reluctantly gave me one, but not even once did he look at me.

After reading other reviews about this store, I completely agree with those who recommend Lynn's, another supermarket in town. The experience there is far better—every time I walk in, the owners and staff greet us warmly and treat us with patience and respect. They are kind people. But at Nihao Market, communication is a major issue. The male owner acts like he’s always angry at you and responds rudely if you have any questions or concerns. I swear I will never go back to this store again.

Affordable price compared to other Asian markets

I absolutely love this store but I love all Asian grocery stores. This one is like most. They have the components for most Asian cuisines. I’m looking for Chow fun noodles but my attention is diverted to pancit noodles. The proprietress is very very kind to me. I practice my Mandarin with her. And she doesn’t howl in derision.

Great place to go for cute kitchen supplies and anything you'd need to do hotpot at home. Not a lot of fresh vegetables but the snack/ramien/frozen food selection is immaculate.

Great place!! Super complete. You will find everything you need for Asian dishes, from fresh vegetables to snacks, and authentic seasonings!! Fantastic selection of Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, and Thai ingredients. They bring in new items and fresh veggies every Friday. And they have the best deal in prepared kimchi in all Tallahassee. However, jasmine rice in bulk I would suggest purchase from Sams Club. It’s a little overpriced here.

Love going here for ingredients for my Asian meals! With a lack of Asian food and markets in Tallahassee, this market is my go to place. There isn’t much customer service but it’s okay, it is a small store.
