I don't live in Tallahassee anymore, and I crave Olean's food constantly. My favorite restaurant in the world and the best soul food anywhere in my opinion. Tallahassee is so blessed to still have Olean's, I think they've been around over 20 years? I've never had the breakfast, but lunch is what you NEED. My order is mac and cheese, greens or green beans, black eyed peas, yams, and a piece of catfish. If they still have chicken and rice on Wednesday, get that. A place that many people in Tallahassee have never been to, such a hidden gem!!!

Being a picky eater I will have to say their food is superb. I got pancakes super fluffy tasted amazing. The corned beef hash was very good. I was not a fan of their eggs because I personally do not like carton eggs but other than that the food was a 10. Will go back for their breakfast and hopefully try their lunch another time.

For the best soul food in town, you have to visit Olean's Cafe! The portions are large and the food is always seasoned perfectly! I love the atmosphere and the staff. They are always friendly and I enjoy the gospel music that is playing.

Finally got to visit the Fame Oleans restaurant. It does have limited hours which has made it challenging to visit before. But I was glad to visit this Tallahassee staple. I was treated with friendly service as soon as I walked in. The restaurant atmosphere is modest and unassuming.Ofcourse the star of the show was the food. My food was received quickly. There is modest dine in seating but I opted to take out. The food is DELICIOUS. I also appreciated they gave an option between pork or beef gravy. This is what soul food is suppose to be!

I always make it a point stop in at Olean’s and pick up the Obama when I’m in Tallahassee. The staff are very friendly, the food is priced right and there’s so much variety. Service it’s quick too. I’m a huge coffee fan whatever brand they serve is extremely simple and smooth. I highly recommend everyone try Olean’s once……but you’ll be back again!
