I'm from NC so when I tell you the Golden Carolina Wings had me having at them like a dog believe me. The Honey cornbread was so light and sweet it made me sad to eat it. Bring wet wipes because you'll be a mess by the time you're done eatin'.

We try new restaurants on Fridays and this was definitely a 5-star and treat! The food was amazing and full of flavor! I had the salmon pineapple dish, which tasted delicious. My husband had the steak pineapple and he ate every drop! Not only was the food delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful on a Friday night. The restaurant next door was playing music, so we sat outside and enjoyed the music and fresh air. The staff at Pineappetit was very pleasant and accommodating. The owner, Sam, actually brought our meal outside to us at our table and took a few minutes to talk with us! What a delight! We will definitely add Pineappetit restaurant to our list of return stops and be sure to bring our out of town guest to this restaurant for a nice Caribbean treat!

My friend and I stopped in for Soul food Saturday a little bit before they opened and they were so kind to us. They took our order and prepared a feast. It truly did not disappoint, everything was delicious. I had jerk bbq wings, Mac & cheese, yams, yellow rice and greens with a slice of cornbread. If your haven’t stop by, you need to.

Sam (The Owner) was extremely personable, and the food was excellent. I had the Rasta Pasta, and the ladies next to me had the pineapple bowls. Although mine tasted delicious, the presentation of the bowls gave me a bit of food envy!

Really wanted to try this place because I love tropical food and seemed like a cool concept. Hate to say, the service was an abomination. When I got there, the person working just ignored me for like a minute until I tried to order. Asked where the bathroom is, she just shrugged her shoulders and didn't answer, like "idk, idc". And the TouchPad for signing and paying was absolutely disgusting, I don't think that thing has been cleaned....ever. It had this gross, Crusty film all over it. Pineapple bowl was good, Pasta was OK, probably wouldn't order again. Hate to leave a bad review and wish these people the best, but they got some stuff to fix.

Loved the food. Downgrades for the service and atmosphere because the solo worker was blasting music so loud that it was hard to order. Very warm in the dining room too. Portion was on the small side as it was served in a small pineapple. I could have eaten two. Also the plate under the pineapple was too small as food that spilled over the side of the pineapple fell on the table. Very limited drink selection of fruit punch or watermelon lemonade in a plastic cup or bottled water.

If it was my place, I would turn down the music, get 10 inch plates, expand the drinks to include at least a couple choices of soda and iced tea and work on ventilation. Metal forks, even cheap ones would be a step up from plastic.

Parking: We had to park around the corner.

The flavors pop, and there's something for everybody. The pineapple bowl is obviously what comes recommended. Pictured is the black bean version with mango salsa. It's a presentation homerun, and, if you love pineapple, you can enjoy a decent bit of the fruit left over inside the bowl. Plus, less styrofoam waste for the eco-minded. Make sure you get the spicy jerk if you like heat, otherwise it's pretty mild, with the mango salsa alone.

Vegetarian options: Black beans are a tasty veg protein. They also have other vegetarian entrees, as well as a vegetable patty.

I was disappointed with my recent experience at Pineappetit. Instead of informing me that they were low on candied yams, they gave me scraps of yams and yam juice.

When I got home, I discovered that there were no whole or half yam pieces in my order. Please check your food before you leave, when you're at the corner for pickup.

Tried the new location at Railroad Square. We were told we got the last of the wings so they were small. However, the jerk seasoning was on point. The other dish is the chicken pasta with a little bit of spice. Great food and customer service. There are a few tables but not a lot. I notice more carry out. I hope they add more drink options. We did like the blue raspberry lemonade. I also like the pineapple bowls. Great local business!

Many thanks to Chef Sam and his team from Pineappetit for catering our patio dinner! We enjoyed delicious steak arepas, jackfruit eggrolls, and jerk chicken pineapple bowls with a beautiful mango salsa. Chef Sam prepared everything on site and had all of us raving about the food. Great hospitality and service. Thank you!!

The beef patties were delicious and the mustard based sauce that came with them was very nice. This was my first time ever having rasta pasta and I was not disappointed. I had the grilled Chicken option. The Pasta was cooked perfectly. It was slightly spicy, creamy and very, very tasty.Other than not being greeted for several moments when I first arrived due to the employee texting on her cell phone, the service was okay. I did have a very nice conversation with the owner. His name is Sam and he's quite impressive. The atmosphere of the restaurant was appropriate. It was clean and inviting. There's a parking issue with this location on Pensacola St. It will be remedied soon, but I won't mention that in this review.Overall, I was quite satisfied and will definitely return. I look forward to what the future holds for this business.2nd visit: At 2:30 in the afternoon on Tuesday, they were out of all Caribbean patties. Also, there was no light at all in the men's restroom. And absolutely no way to dry your hands either.
