Pockets Pool and Pub

Okay let’s talk. I’m currently sitting on the back porch at Pockets getting ready to call my Life Insurance leads. I ordered a delicious Tokyo tea and I have a cheeseburger on the way. Then I realized it. I really do love this place.

This is my daytime hideout. My any day getaway. And I just realized it.

Now at night time, I don’t feel like I fit in sometimes because everyone looks like the coolest person in town compared to my laidback style but during the daytime, this is where I want to be. For years yall. I’ve done homework. I’ve taken my Dad here when he visited me from Florida. My siblings and I have come here to hang when they’re in town as well. For years, this is where I came for karaoke every Tuesday and Thursday. And this is where, I first had the chance to feel like a superstar.

Even in Sharkys! I’ve been on stage during one of the open mics events they hosted and even though I didn’t win, I felt welcome!

In other words, I just realized, I’ve loved this place for a very very long time and if Pockets’s never existed, I don’t know if I’d be the same person I am today. I’ve faced so many fears here.

Bro I remember coming on a Saturday night when I was a student and being so overwhelmed, I sat on the only open seat I could find by the bathrooms until someone walking out accidentally knocked the table and spilled my drink! Looking back now, all I can do is laugh.

Thank God for Pockets Pool & Pub. Truly, thank God.

We enjoy our first time visiting Pockets 👍 😀
The food was okay, kinda pricy and wings were cooked too hard. I know when you're drinking it's convenient to have food available. Just pay attention to your food orders if you like it done a certain way, say it.
The women's bathrooms 👎 management really needs to work on the the bathroom situation. Most of the stall were not WORKING properly! Water in the floor in one, the other stall, toilet didn't flush! The paper towel holder was barely hanging on the wall and was EMPTY. With those prices, you shouldn't have a mediocre experience! Pub or not, they could do better.

Cara was amazing yesterday (the one with the cardigan) She made sure I had everything I needed and didn’t play around. She was attentive even when she was clearly short staffed. Also s/o to the one girl in the back cooking the food I was shocked that bar food could fast this good at such a low price

I appreciate the changes they have made. Extra security. TPD in the parking lot. Food is great. Service could be better. And sometimes the music can be extremely loud, especially if you’re sitting in the front. But overall, great improvements.

Went for Father's Day and it changed my life!

Went on a Friday night and here's how that went. First off, didn't realize there was a cover charge, but even worse was making me walk through a metal detector and pat down. I expect that from a club not a pool hall, then was immediately warned that what seemed like half the menu was unavailable lol. Grabbed something I didn't want and wasn't impressed, but the fries were good, sure they're the same ones I get from the grocery store. Place was really hot for some reason. These are areas they sound really work on. Everything else was just as you'd expect. Random music form the jukebox, sports on multiple TVs and they even had little arcade games like mini basketball and mini bowling. It was overall ok.

Good tables, great service. But for someone new to this place, just pretend there is an imaginary wall in between the bar and the pool room. Very confusing and the staff acted like I should have known this? I will go back, at least now I know don't sit at the bar if you want to play pool.

First I want to say I have loved playing pool here for almost 20 years. This is the only place we go but the last 2 visits have been not so good. First Do Not Play 70's music I'm talking about the horrible slow show boat stuff - It ruins the vibe. I couldn't drink it was so bad. Second the waitresses which are usually amazing have been terrible. This Saturday our waitress talked to a customer the whole hour we were there. Hope it changes and goes back to the way its always been. Good to great music and amazing friendly waitresses

$60 for 2 hours of pool and 1 drink. That is insane.
