Good experience. The food was good. The plantains were excellent. It's not a fun selection as in a regular Pollo Tropical, but sufficient. The grilled chicken was rather dry and the Cuban sandwich was lacking flavor in the pork and virtually no mustard. Not sure I'd go back there. There's other options in the student union to try. It's a decent back up place. The service seemed super fast for the number of folks there that day. It was packed. We used the kiosk so there's really no interaction with the employees.
A female manager tried charging a few dollars for an extra bag. Shady stuff definitely going on with the staff.
I love Pollo Tropical, I only wish this location had a full menu as it’s the only one in Tallahassee. Regardless of that, it’s generally quite good, quick, and the FSU student union is always a great place to eat.

Disappointing Experience at Pollo Tropical
I had a very unsatisfactory experience at Pollo Tropical. The crispy chicken was cold and clearly had been sitting out for too long, losing all its crispiness. The rice was not even warm; it was cold and unappetizing. To make matters worse, the cheese and peppers were haphazardly piled on one side of the plate, with barely any on the other side. Presentation matters in food service, and this was a major letdown. Overall, I believe there needs to be a complete overhaul in the staff, as this experience was unacceptable. I won't be returning anytime soon.

Pollo TropicalYou are my one and onlyThere is no one else.
Never disappointed
Could never compare to the Pollo Tropical's down south. Ordered a tropichop and received my food cold. The rice was under-cooked making it unbearable to eat. Overall terrible experience ... Do not recommend
Start straining your tomatoes. Nobody wants to see tomato schlop piled on their tropi chop
I've tried going there multiple times and they consistently make their queso wraps with cold spots in them. Today, I asked the cashier if they could cook it longer and she refused. The wrap was cold on one side. I went back to return it and they made another one. Also cold on one side.

Every other Pollo I've ever been to has consistent sizes. The portion sizes here are about half the size of any other one in Florida. I honestly feel ripped off. Also the beans were straight out of a can.
Got a quesadilla and it was pretty disgusting, the mac and cheese was good though.
they don't have the full pollo menu being on campus. but the food is good I've enjoyed the tropi chop bowl..
It's quite tasty Carribean food. Allegedly based out of Miami Florida, the grilled chicken, rice and pico/salsa and avocado combo is exquisite.
I got the boneless chicken platter with yellow rice and veggies and fried yuca. It was delicious I wish the fried yuca was warmer or more recently made. Everything else was perfect. It brings a dinner roll and black beans.
